"Jim, we appreciate your feedback and want to clarify the situation. Our standard pricing includes $199 for a basic chimney cleaning, and if a deep cleaning is necessary, our technician will inform the customer before proceeding. In your case, a deep cleaning was performed, which is priced at $399. Two days after the service, you contacted us stating that another company inspected your chimney and found cracks in the mortar and brickwork, as well as a smoke odor in your home. We want to emphasize that we cannot take responsibility for any issues discovered or caused after another company has inspected or worked on the chimney, as we cannot verify what happened after our service was completed which was only cleaning. Regarding the refund, we spoke with you and agreed to issue a $100 refund as a goodwill gesture. However, when we attempted to process it, we discovered that a dispute had already been filed with your credit card company. Unfortunately, once a dispute is in progress, we are unable to issue a separate refund until the dispute process is completed.
