A disappointing experience for the heat pump purchase from NorthWest (NW) Heating. I purchased a heat pump on Jan 2023 to replace my existing heat pump. The heat pump was frequently in error In Dec 2023, after the final visit, they concluded that the problem was a section of my ductwork need to be expand, so that the air flow could be good for the new system, and they request an cost of $2K for this work. The owner claimed that the ductwork was not part of the heatpump purchase, so was not NW's responsibility. My thought: I rely on the subject matter expert, in this case, NW Consultant to provide me the info and advise. After checking my previous system, NW consultant provided me the recommendation and warranty on this system. I trusted the recommendation and paid for the price. Now, I got the fact is, my ductwork is not compatible to this new system. However, it became the customer's responsibility now when things don't work out. As my previous system has the same power and was also heatpump, it worked fine in all these years. I changed it just because of the age of the previous system and hoping a newer system could save more energy. Should the ductwork be a check item before NW recommending this new system to the customer? Why it worked in the previous system, with same horse power, but not this new one? Additionally, if I take NW proposal, spend $2k to change my ductwork, what happen if the system still has same error after the change? Will NW refund me the $2K or refund the whole system? Or if NW would find some more issues that I need to fix and pay more, just to make the new system work without error? As a customer who purchased a system with warranty, am I asking too much for this business? Currently, my the new heat pump system is still in error status and I receive no more maintenance services from NW until I agree to their proposal.

Great! Due to Covid (supply chain problems) we had to wait 7 months. The installers were knowledgeable and pleasant. There ended up being a few glitches but Jesse was sent out very quickly and worked diligently until it was solved. Trouble shooting, service and professionalism was top notch.

Jessie went above and beyond to troubleshoot the problem and get the parts needed for the repair. The first commercial company that looked at it said it couldn't be repaired. But Jessie's expertise solved the problem.

I chose Northwest Expert Heating based upon review comments highlighting this company's customer service.  I am happy to say that their customer service is & was excellent and the quality of their workmanship was top notch.  Originally I had them out to troubleshoot an 15 yr old 80% gas furnace and decided to have them replace it.  While the service guys made suggestions I never felt pressured and I am quite satisfied with the result.  Note: Afterwards for a separate project I also had them install natural gas piping to another appliance.  All in all, Shawn, Yuriv, Eddie (the owner) and another fellow helping w/the install performed professionally, answering all my questions and based upon this experience I highly recommend their company.

Our experience with Northwest Expert Heating far exceeded my expectations. Our original project was to reroute some vents in our basement to get them tucked into the joists so they weren't taking up valuable headroom. I had several contractors out to quote the work and chose Northwest Expert Heating because they offered the best price. I knew there was some risk that the best price doesn't always mean the best quality of service but I'm hear to say that I was thrilled with their work! Like a lot of projects, not all was known at the outset. They did a great job of communicating with me along the way offering options and their professional opinion along the way. They sent a professional, courteous and knowledgeable team here to perform the work and exceeded my expectations, completing the requested vent work on time and within budget. Through further discussions we decided to take this opportunity with them to install a heat pump, and here again they offered an amazing price and installed this on time and within budget. There was an issue with the cooling unit the surfaced this summer and they were out here quickly to inspect and repair the unit at no additional cost to us. Likewise when we upgraded to a Nest thermostat they sent their staff out to get us up and running and ensured that everything was working as planned. If you are considering any HVAC work in your home or business do yourself a favor and have Northwest Expert Heating out to give you a bid.

Replaced furnace with furnace/air unit. Installation was done smoothly. We were always kept informed on the progress. All the folks were very easy to work with. We had to have our electrical panel upgraded to accommodate the new unit. This caused only a small delay, but the job was done well. We bought an extremely efficient unit. So worth the money. To add air conditioning, our PSE bill never changed that we noticed! We are extremely satisfied customers!

Terrific guys Highly knowledgeable and professional personnel. Always getting the job done right on time and budget. Very resourceful when it comes to solving unforeseen problems. Highly recommend this guys.
