From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. Property Trio listened carefully to our vision, even our crazy ideas and truly brought it to life. The cabinets are not only beautiful but also provide all the storage we needed, perfectly combining functionality with style. They transformed our spaces and exceeded our expectations! The attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident in every inch of the work. If you're looking for a contractor who can turn your ideas into reality, I highly recommend Property Trio. "Mike, the owner, was excellent to work with. We hired him to do a whole house remodel including exterior landscaping and projects. He considered all of our needs and even brought in creative ideas and solutions for us. He communicated effectively and was professional and kind through the process. We 100% recommend him for any home remodeling work and will call him again for any futures needs we may have. Thank you Mike!"

"First off, I would like to say that I would highly recommend Burlingame Contracting for any remodeling work that you may need. My wife and I initially had Paul come out to do a complete remodel on two bathrooms in our home. During the design process Paul and his team listened to our vision for the bathroom and offered great ideas to build upon them while keeping to our bathroom budget. In a short amount of time Burlingame Contracting was able to transform our bathrooms by getting rid of the old cabinets, tub, drywall, flooring, doors, and lighting. They then installed new vanities, heaters, designed a pocket door to save room in a small bathroom, designed three built-in closet features, tore out a wall to create more space, installed a new tub, and installed new tile floors. In short, they made our bathrooms look amazing. I think the thing that impressed me the most about the experience was that during the remodeling phase Paul and his team ran into a few big surprises due to the original construction of the house and he was able to adjust on the fly while keeping the work going ahead. During the course of the remodel Paul ended up having to replace subflooring in a bathroom due to a prior unknown leak, fix electrical issues that were originally not set up to code, help relevel our home due to improper initial construction which led one side of our home’s foundation to sink over an inch into the ground, and he and his men ended up installing a French drain to help reroute water from a low point in our yard that was contributing to the sinking issue. During the entire process Paul kept us updated on the progress of the work, his next steps, options for design, and he went out of his way to make sure that we were happy with the job they were doing. Despite the surprises that occurred with the subflooring, sinking foundation, and the drainage issue Burlingame Contracting was able to adjust on the fly and offer cost effective solutions to address these issues. In short, it seemed like they were prepared to handle anything, and that is exactly what you want in a contractor. Overall, the work turned out beautiful and was of a very high quality. As I mentioned earlier, I would highly recommend them for any job that you may have. My wife and I will definitely be using them again. Please note, I have included before and after pictures to show the amazing work transformation that took place."

"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

"I had heard horror stories from friends and family in regards to their experience with contractors and remodeling projects. My remodeling experience with James was wonderful! He is organized, reliable, reasonable and positive. I appreciated his style of open communication and can-do attitude. He remodeled our kitchen, put new flooring in, painted all walls, replaced vanities in our bathrooms and replaced the windows in our entire house. His subcontractors were reliable and friendly. I originally found him on Angie's list and saw his good reviews. He did not disappoint. I would encourage you to hire him for your next project."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

House framing can be expensive because the materials are pricey, and the job requires a high level of expertise. The more complex the plans, the more expensive the job, but even the most basic frame needs to be installed with high-quality materials and precision. When pricing your home’s framework, remember that a sturdy frame is necessary to create a safe structure.

Yes, professionals can install new frames, trim, and threshold adjustments for a complete finish.

Baseboards don’t have to be nailed into studs. However, nailing them into studs adds to their stability. When studs aren’t available, you can secure them with drywall nails directly into the drywall and adhesive. Always aim to nail into studs, especially in high-traffic or impact-prone areas.

There are a few easy ways to locate a wall stud without a stud finder. First, try knocking on the wall with your knuckles. Most parts of the wall will sound hollow, but when you tap over a stud, it will sound more solid. Alternatively, since studs are spaced 16 or 24 inches apart, you can measure those distances from a corner of the room, which will always have a stud.

There are a variety of second-story deck privacy ideas depending on your budget and aesthetic. For starters, you might consider fencing or tall privacy railing that masks a good portion of the open deck. A pergola or an awning can provide additional cover and shade. Outdoor curtains are an easy way to add or remove privacy at your convenience, plus they’re a wallet-friendly way to decorate your deck.
