We can find structural leaks in swimming pools or on the plumbing under the concrete deck. Sewer lines can be inspected and located. Water intrusion in the basement through foundation cracks can be treated to create a barrier to stop that water flow. Private utility locating available to protect those lines prior to excavation. "Terrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above."

Hot tub repairs cost between $200 and $500 on average. You can minimize those costs by maintaining your hot tub and keeping necessary supplies on hand. An elevated shelf in the garage is a great place to store your water care chemicals so that kids and pets will stay safe and you’ll always have them around. 

Your hot tub should be drained of existing water, cleaned, and refilled every three to four months at a minimum. Follow your tub manufacturer’s recommendations for cleaning, and rinse thoroughly when finished to eliminate any residue from the cleaning products. This is also a good time to inspect your tub’s cover in good lighting for any leaks, tears, or other damage that might cause problems. 

Using your hot tub manufacturer’s suggested cleaners and methods, keep your hot tub filters clean to avoid a loss of water heat. This will help extend the filter’s useful life and efficiency. If the filter is more than two to three years old, replace it with a new one and buy a second filter to keep around as a spare.

Unfortunately, a hot tub does use a relatively large amount of electricity. In fact, much of the money you spend on your hot tub will go toward electricity costs to keep the water heated. A typical hot tub will use anywhere from 1,500 to 6,000 watts of electricity per month.

If you want to have a chemical-free spa, or if you are wondering how to keep your hot tub clean naturally, there are several options. Some individuals choose to run their hot tub without treatment at all and simply clean it more often (although you risk bacteria, fungi, and algae growth if you take this route); others use natural products like vinegar or Borax. Ozone, ultraviolet light, and electrolysis systems are also eco-friendly ways to have a clean hot tub without chemicals. Saltwater hot tubs are popular with people who are sensitive to chlorine, bromine, and other traditional hot tub chemicals.

It’s easy to keep your hot tub clean and safe for all to enjoy by following a few simple tips:

  • Make sure anyone who uses the hot tub rinses themselves and their swimsuits off, perhaps in an outdoor shower near the hot tub. 

  • Don’t add anything to your hot tub’s water. Bath oils and bubble bath liquids might seem like a fun addition to your hot tub experience, but these substances will turn the water in your tub foamy and its surfaces hard to clean. 

  • Restrict eating in the tub to light snacks that you can easily clean out if there’s any spillage. Crumbs from crackers and chips can be difficult to pick up. 

  • Make it a no-pet zone. Pet fur and dander can pose a cleaning issue, but it’s also not a great idea for your pet’s health and safety. 

Hot tub repair costs are less expensive than purchasing a new one, especially if your warranty is still intact. You can shop for a secondhand unit or find a deal for a trade-in. If the price to repair your hot tub is higher than the cost of a new one, consider replacing your unit.
