And since we never tackled such a big home renovation project, we initially really did not know how much we would need them (turns out, yes, we needed them very much and we are just so lucky to have them onboard). Not only did they research extensively into the building codes (including calling the city to sort out any confusions) but they poured so much thought into the design of our bathroom so that it made the most efficient use of space (I love their design). Their detailed drawings also make it easy for our contractor to know what to do, so we don't need to worry about the layout and we know exactly what should be happening with the construction. In addition, they also work with us during the construction process (e.g. to address problems with inspections) and are extremely efficient with getting things done competently and as fast as possible. As someone who always finds things to worry about, working with Julia and Stone has been a pleasantly worry-free process. As we've recently moved to Seattle and are building up a repertoire of trustworthy businesses for home-related things, Refine Design is most definitely a business that we will go back to in the future, and one that we strongly recommend without reservation for anyone looking for good architectural services."
