He even came over to do a quick repair when he was in the middle of a job just so we could get our tile installed on time. He's a hard worker and did a really nice job doing multiple large repairs to our home working 9-10 hours at a time to finish. I wish all contractors were as good as this one! Yes, taping inside corners is a critical step in the drywall installation process.  Properly taping inside corners is essential for achieving a professional look, and an installation that resists cracking and maintains its integrity over time. Taping the corners involves the application of a joint compound along the seam where two drywall pieces meet. This process provides reinforcement, conceals the seam, and prevents future gaps or cracks from developing.

Many homeowners choose to install tongue and groove over drywall. The great thing about this type of ceiling is that it hides imperfections. If your drywall is a little bit wonky or has some minor damage, the tongue and groove planks should cover it and give it an even appearance. Installation is simplest if you install battens over the existing framing before installing your tongue and groove planks.

You should do a little bit of sanding between adding coats of mud. Knock down any ridges or significantly imperfect areas through sanding, which should help you apply the next coat of mud smoothly.
