"Great from start to finish, got a text that Bradley was coming, they gave his full name, so I knew who was coming, had his ID card fully visible. It’s was so refreshing to see someone with a smile, who obviously knows his job and enjoys it. Customer satisfaction his goal. He replaced my panel, wiring, and moved it down from its original position, so I can now read the panel. I am extremely pleased with the result."

"We had a great experience with SolTerra's installation of our solar panels.  We were impressed with their accessibility, professionalism, and the quality of their work from the initial consultation all the way through to our final inspection.  The process was very easy from our end, as SolTerra managed all the federal, state, and county paperwork for permits, rebates, taxes, etc.  They really worked hard for us, and we couldn't be happier with the end result!"

"Before the pandemic, we got our estimates for a full HVAC system (AC/Furnace/Air filtration/Thermostat) and Generator from Washington Energy Services. Then the pandemic happened which caused supply chain issues that hindered us from obtaining the products and equipment we wanted. Charles, our sales representative, gave us his word that he would do everything in his power to make sure we got the system we preferred, and he made it happen! Charles went above and beyond to meet our needs and preferences. He brought us the absolute best installers in the business. Roman, Pavel and his assistant, who were in charge of the HVAC system, along with Daniel and his assistant, who installed the Generator. They all did an amazing job planning, organizing and implementing a super quality, white glove installation, along with some added customization which was simply genius. They were very meticulous about every detail and didn’t leave any stone unturned. They were also very friendly and answered all of our questions and concerns. Despite the challenging circumstances Charles and his staff and all the admin contacts from Washington Energy Services came through for us. Their knowledge, expertise and customer service are second to none. They are stacked with talented professionals and have amazing customer service. From top to bottom they are the absolute best and I highly recommend them to everyone!"

"The crew arrived on time with -30 minutes phone call to notify me on their arrival time. Very professional, quickly installed a whole home surge protector on the wall next to the current panel. did the breaker changes as needed and left the area clean. All for a great price as well. "The furnace technicians (2) came when they said they would, with a half hour notice when they were on the way.
They came and tuned up the furnace, cleaning the burners, H.T.L. P.S.O., flume sensor, condensation drain line, and cabinet.  They did a full system inspection.  They informed me of the indications of power surges on the master computer panel and
recommended a surge protector for the furnace, or for the whole house. But they didn't try to push one on me.  They also cleaned the electronic air filters.

They also checked my smoke detectors and carbon monoxide sensors. One smoke detector was not working. They offered to install a new one for an additional charge but were not pushy at all.

They were very friendly and professional, and answered all my questions, educating me along the way.  I was very pleased with the service and got the "Big Deal" price.  I would highly recommend this company.

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

Solar panels can pay for themselves in five to 15 years, depending on the cost of your system, how much energy it generates, whether you qualify for incentives or power buybacks, and the price of energy in your area. Solar panels pay for themselves over time as they lower electricity bills, so it will take time to recoup your initial investment. However, the longer you have your system, the more money you can save and earn.

Removing solar panels can be straightforward, but it’s not necessarily a simple process. Your contractor needs to prevent damage—not only to your panels but also to your roof and electrical system. Many systems are wired into the main electrical grid, and you’ll need to hire a licensed electrician to disconnect it.

A few disadvantages of installing solar panels on your roof include the high up-front costs and the potential for increased property taxes. Installing solar panels can increase the home’s value, which in turn can mean higher taxes. Depending on your area, you should check with your local tax offices for more information. Another potential pitfall is roof leaks from a poor installation, but this shouldn’t be an issue if you hire a reputable company.

The best way to save money on solar panels is to take advantage of federal and state solar incentives. For example, the solar investment tax credit (ITC) offered by the federal government can save 30% of your total—if you can take the entire credit, which is based on income taxes owed—or an average of around $9,000. You can check the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) for state and local incentives that could save you even more.

The average cost to install solar panels is around $27,000, with most homeowners paying between $4,500 and $54,000. These prices don’t consider the federal investment tax credit (ITC), which can reduce costs by up to 30%. The final price depends on several factors, including the size of the system needed to offset your energy consumption, the amount of sunlight your home receives, your geographical location, the type and brand of panels, labor costs, and any add-on products like solar batteries or electric vehicle (EV) chargers. It is recommended to get price quotes from at least three solar companies in your area to find the best deal.
