"Leavenworth WA - I can say infinitively; these electricians easily deserve a 5-stars review for a variety of aspects of service we received, including, quality, speed, and knowledge. A home or business owner looking for an electrician may expect these traits to be common, but that is not true. Without getting into the not so great electricians I had to funnel through before finally finding Rob and Leo from All Systems Electric Inc. I discovered just how rare these traits are. I explained to Rob what I needed, he knew exactly what had to be done to execute the job, he wrote up an estimate and completed the job. Today the electrical inspector called me to let me know the inspection was complete and everything was perfect. I will absolutely be recommending these guys and utilizing their services in the future."

"I had a rental house’s electrical system fully updated from old knob-and-tube wiring up to code. After receiving several quotes (some of which were unbelievable!), I talked with Eric and he returned a quote promptly and it was priced competitively. More than price, it was a pleasure working with him and his speed to complete the job was very fast. You can tell he loves what he does and enjoys working with people. Looks like I found my electrician going forward!"

"They were professional, polite and careful to be considerate of the home. The job was an unexpected need to upgrade an electrical circuit to accommodate a hot water tank replacement. While I was not thrilled about the unplanned expense, I was very happy with the process with Seatown EH&A"

"Ben and EMC Electric was very professional and easy to work with. They provided us with multiple options for our project, as they found some less than ideal conditions (panel) when bidding the job. Once we decided on a level of effort job we were comfortable with, they were fast to schedule and complete the needed work."

"I am extremely pleased with my services from Tripped Electric. From working with their administrative staff (Tessa) on scheduling, to the 4 electricians who worked at my home (Jacob, Skyler, Marcus, and Justin) -- this business could not be better at what they do or more professional. I would 100% work with Tripped again for any of my electrical needs."

Customers say: Quality work

"we recently moved into this older manufactured home and wanted to make sure the electric issues were up to code. All was well until they found a loose wire in a light fixture. A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD! It was easily fixed but we were so grateful we had them come in and check everything! Andy and Chris were very friendly and professional. Bill, the owner, was helpful and answered all questions. We would highly recommend this company!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Some portable cooktops are compatible with standard 120-volt outlets, but most induction (and electric) ranges and stoves need a dedicated 220- or 240-volt circuit and 40 to 50 amps to work. If you are replacing an old electric range with an induction one, you likely already have the proper outlet, but it’s worth checking with a local appliance installation company.

No, you should always use proper electrical wire caps to safely cap off electrical wires. Electrical tape isn’t as durable as electrical caps and can deteriorate and separate over time, exposing the live wires. The only way to use electrical tape for this project is to wrap it around the caps themselves to reinforce them and create an even stronger connection, preventing an electrical emergency.

While you can technically live in a home while it's being rewired, prepare for some debris and dust if your electrical contractor needs to remove parts of walls, floors, and ceilings to access wires. If you stay home during the project, ask your electrician to cut the power supply to all exposed electrical wires to keep your family safe.

Yes, but our analogy with the water hose doesn’t really work here. You see, electrical flow isn’t constant: It ebbs and flows like waves, coming in pulses of power. Hertz measures the rate of change in the flow of electricity, or how often it ebbs and flows. For example, 60Hz means that the electrons pulse through wiring 60 times per second. When they are pulsing, they’re in a brief retreat. Almost all United States equipment is rated for 60Hz.

Yes, most electric and automatic gates can be opened manually. They are equipped with a manual override or release mechanism that detaches the motor from the gate, allowing it to be moved by hand. This feature is essential during power outages or other emergencies.

To activate the manual override, you will typically need a specific key or tool. In some cases, you may also need a screwdriver to remove a cover to access the release mechanism. The use of a key is a common security measure to prevent unauthorized individuals from manually opening the gate.

Because every model is different, it is highly recommended to consult your gate's user manual to familiarize yourself with the specific procedure before you need to use it. Keep any necessary keys or tools in an accessible location. Be aware that automatic gates can be very heavy, so opening and closing them manually may be difficult.

In North America, electric gates are also subject to the UL 325 Standard for Safety, which includes provisions to allow emergency responders to access the property.
