"Update 10/07 — I had an electrical issue with a washer/dryer (due to manufacturer error), and texted Tripped for help at 1pm. They had someone drive out immediately (my home is in a VERY remote location), and Marqus arrived by 3pm. The issue was fixed by 3:45pm. This company has EXCELLENT service, and I could not recommend them enough!"

Customers say: Quality work

"we recently moved into this older manufactured home and wanted to make sure the electric issues were up to code. All was well until they found a loose wire in a light fixture. A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD! It was easily fixed but we were so grateful we had them come in and check everything! Andy and Chris were very friendly and professional. Bill, the owner, was helpful and answered all questions. We would highly recommend this company!"

"Aaron is skilled, reliable and just a really good guy. He went out of his way to make time for a project that had to be done quickly, showed up when he said he would, and did excellent work. I had him back to do another project, and it was the same: nice guy doing solid, precise work and prioritizing safety. I'd trust him with anything electrical in my home and know that it was done right."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Anacortes’ marine west coast climate—with frequent rain, high humidity, and salty air—directly affects electrical projects. Using corrosion-resistant, marine-grade materials is essential to prevent premature wear. Weatherproofing all outdoor electrical components and installing GFCI protection helps guard against moisture intrusion. Securely mounting fixtures ensures wind resistance. Planning electrical work during Anacortes’ drier months, typically May through September, reduces weather-related interruptions and supports long-term reliability.

Helpful?

The longevity of electrical work in Anacortes depends on selecting marine-grade, corrosion-resistant materials to withstand salty air and moisture. Weatherproof enclosures and proper sealing protect against persistent dampness. Securely mounting fixtures helps resist strong coastal winds. Regular maintenance checks for corrosion or loose connections are crucial. Adhering to Washington State electrical codes and using quality products designed for coastal environments ensures safe, long-lasting installations.

Helpful?

Before starting electrical work in Anacortes, confirm permit requirements and allow time for approval to prevent project delays. Always schedule a utility check before digging to identify underground lines. Coordinate any necessary service interruptions in advance. Choose a contractor experienced with coastal conditions, and plan your project for the drier season, typically May through September, to reduce the risk of weather-related setbacks.

Helpful?

For homes in Anacortes, safety starts with installing tamper-resistant outlets and outlet covers to protect children and pets from accidental shocks. Place GFCI outlets in all areas exposed to moisture, especially basements and outdoor spaces prone to winter dampness. Enhance exterior lighting for improved visibility during dark, rainy months. If you have a pool or hot tub, ensure all electrical work includes proper bonding and GFCI protection for added safety.

Helpful?

Homes in Anacortes are well-suited for electrical upgrades if they have a modern electrical panel (ideally 200 amps), reliable service, and comprehensive GFCI protection. Properties near the shoreline should have extra moisture barriers. If your home is older or has outdated wiring, upgrades are especially important. Look for signs like rust, frequent breaker trips, or limited access in crawl spaces, which indicate a need for professional assessment.
