"Both projects went very well.  The work on my home required some imaginative carpentry when the french doors were replaced because I wanted to preserve the interior trim, which was a custom moulding with an old-fashioned built up header.  The new sliding door was smaller than the french door, but the carpenter managed to remove the existing trim, put in the new door, and reuse the trim so that you can't even tell the door isn't original.  Further, that door is located on an upper deck that had suffered some water damage and rot that had leaked down to damage the siding on the house below that deck.  Ethos repaired the damage and replaced the siding.  We had a communication glitch regarding the siding, and the company originally replaced the siding with regular cedar, and not clear cedar as I wished, but Bill White, the Ethos representative and I were able to amicably resolve the issue, and the company replaced the siding with clear.  The workers who came to my house were friendly, efficient, and very clean.  They laid tarps where they worked and vacuumed the areas as well as their access routes.
I was so impressed while they worked that I really wanted to hire them to replace windows in the rental I own.  I got a bid, but the price was more than I wanted to spend at the time, and I told Bill I would have to wait on that project.  He contacted the window company and got a rebate for me, and he also worked with me to lower the price for a substantial savings.  I went ahead with the project, and I am very pleased I did.  Again, the work was very well done and did not inconvenience the tenants beyond what they reasonably expected.  Special efforts had to be made because of asbestos present in the old paint on the original windows, and Ethos took special precautions.
