"My rental was an overgrown mess with the lawn over 1.5 ft in height/overgrowth & weeds/ivy/shrubs taking over fencelines & walkways. Bautista & his crew Completely transformed the property with great timing and very fair pricing. The best landscaping job I've had in many years for this rental. Thank you so much! Will definitely hire again."

"If you have been online for long hours looking for a clean and efficient mover, then I have come with good news. Moving APT is what you need to contact right now. I wish someone told me about them earlier since I had spent many hours researching. They were in charge of my relocation to the city early this month, and they were thorough in their operation. The safety of my belongings was guaranteed, and nothing got damaged. You need to try them too. They are simply awesome."

"Sione's crew worked a very full and long day to carve out a new driveway plus sidewalk. First, a tree needed to be removed and then some landscaping. Once that was done, the driveway work could begin. After assessing that the crew knew exactly what I wanted, I felt confident that I could leave them to do their work. When I returned, the driveway and sidewalk were almost finished. Some minor work needed to be finished the following day. By the time I got home on the second day, all was finished and the job site was clean and tidy. Sione and his crew were very friendly, professional and considerate of my time as well and disturbing my neighbors. A follow up visit from Sione was a pleasant and very much appreciated surprise.

Very pleased with the service and results. Bill and his crew were very easy to work with. The quote he gave for the stamped and stained driveway was the same as I got from a competitor for a simple poured concrete driveway. Bill kept me up to date on each stage of the process and when work could be completed weather permitting. The work was completed when and as agreed. He even hauled away some of my extra garbage and branches from other projects I was working on.

We chose the pattern for the stamping and the colors for the stain. He says the stain is good for abut 5 years and would cost about $500 to redo.

Garbage Removal questions, answered by experts

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

As with many appliances, proper maintenance is key to maximizing your garbage disposal’s life span. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit. Avoid putting the wrong food items down the disposal, including pasta, rice, bread, and more.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.
