"Great roofing contractor! Palm Construction recently re-roofed my home and I am very satisfied with the quality of work and also with price. Roy and his crew were quick and they finished this job in a timely manner and cleaned after themselves. Overall, it was excellent experience and I would highly recommend Palm Construction!"

"The cleaning was great, but the upfront communication was poor. All Pro wants first time customers to pay cash for their first service, and I was not told this until they arrived and were cleaning my house. I was told I would have 3 people coming to clean my house, but only had one person. The weather caused delay in starting on time, and due to the late starting time and only having one person my job was not completed in a timely manner. It would have been nice to recevie a phone call about being late, but I did the calling instead."

Couch Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

Most HVAC service calls include diagnostic fees, which could include checking on a specific issue you’re experiencing or running through a routine inspection checklist. If you called for a particular problem, the service call will also include an estimate to fix the issue, including materials and labor. Depending on your HVAC technician and the service you requested, you might also get a general inspection of your system components to ensure everything is working as intended.

You should plan to change your AC unit's filter every one to three months, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations. You should also clean the coils at least once per year, but if you have pets or someone in your household has allergies, you might need to clean them more often. Fortunately, many pros will clean the coils and change the filter for you during an inspection, which you should schedule once or twice per year.

Inexpensive filters do an effective job of keeping your HVAC system clean and running properly. However, they usually aren’t the best at filtering out allergens and other pollutants. So, if you have pets, several people in your household, or allergies and asthma, you’ll want to invest in a higher-quality filter.

NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification is not legally required for HVAC technicians in most areas, but hiring a professional with this certification is highly recommended. NATE-certified technicians demonstrated their expertise and proficiency in different types of HVAC systems, offering assurance of quality service. It's a voluntary certification, yet it indicates a commitment to professionalism and ongoing training. Choosing a NATE-certified technician often means you're working with someone who is up-to-date on industry standards and best practices, which can lead to better service, energy efficiency, and long-term cost savings.

While caulking is handy for quite a bit of jobs, it’s still limited. Any crack or gap larger than 1/4 inch is best left for a more intensive repair job. When you hire house painters, they should run a thorough check to see what they need to repair before they start the job.

Large repairs that caulking typically won’t do well with include cracks or holes larger than a 1/4 inch, rotted wood, or metal surfaces, such as garage doors.
