"We called Bob when one morning when it was 15 degrees and our well pump stopped running. No frozen pipes. Bob quoted the cost to visit and take a look however first proposed a procedure we could try first and avoid the charges. It worked Great and we had water again within 20 minutes. The next morning our neighbor called with the same problem, we suggested Bob'and our neighbor need Well & pump service it will be his number s procedure and again a running pump! We really appreciate Bob's knowledge and willingness to solve our problem 's without cost . When wewe call. Much appreciated and Thank-You A-Plus Water Services, Inc and Bob. "Zach and his crew were amazing! Our old water heater sprung a massive leak at 2:00am on a Saturday morning. Contacted Zach at 7:30am and he called right back and was here within the hour. Not only did we replace our water heater with a tankless model, but also moved it from the second floor to garage. Zach did all of this on a Saturday for a flat fee!! He and his crew were here for 9 hours without complaint or even seeming to take a rest!! Knockout Plumbing is indeed a 'Knockout' and I would highly recommend!! Kudos to all!!"

"Aaron and his team did an excellent job from start to finish, and I’m completely satisfied with their work. They installed my Tesla car charger efficiently, and I would gladly recommend them and use them again for any future electrical needs."

"Very happy with the entire experience. Got an estimate which was the lowest of the 4 plumbing companies that I contacted for the job. I felt the price was reasonable and pretty close to the price I thought it would cost. The job was done at the agreed upon estimate quote price, no additional cost after the fact. I was able to schedule the job next day. The Plumber was on time and only took him 1 1/2 hours to complete the job. Work was very well done and very happy with result. Cost - $1,339.00 + Tax."

"One could not ask for much more with Vlad from AWP. He was willing to take the time to discuss what he was doing and explain options. His work is very neat and precise and he maintained a very clean work environment. As someone who does most of their own work, I can assure you that I will utilize AWP for all my plumbing needs in the future."

"The job they did was beyond outstanding.  Not only did they do an excellent job with the furnace they ran the T & P valve from the water heater to the pump for the furnace as well as added a flex hose at no additional cost.  Absolutely amazing service and price.  Their work looks great as well.  To add, this installation was not easy and had I personally had significant trouble figuring out the logistics of how we would be able to use a high efficiency furnace.  Rob and the technicians made that a cake walk and we really appreciate the hard work.  All other estimates were above their costs and I couldn't be happier at this point.  Thank you Jared and Jordan for doing such professional work.

"I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Bellevue for a septic tank pump-out, and they were amazing! Tina and Lawrence showed up right on time, got straight to work, and had everything done quickly and professionally. They even took the time to explain the process and gave me tips to keep my system running smoothly. Really great service!"

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

You should have your well inspected once per year. You should also have a well inspection done when you’re buying a house with a private well, when the well cap is opened, when the septic tank is repaired, or when there is flooding.

During your annual visit, a pro will make sure that everything is working correctly and check for certain contaminants, including total coliform. Every other year, they’ll look for things like metals and nitrates, and every five years, they’ll test for pesticides.

The average lifespan of a deep well pump is between 15 and 25 years, after which you’ll have to replace it. Several factors can affect the lifespan of a well pump, such as the quality of the unit. Proper maintenance and repair can also help extend your well pump’s lifespan as well as keep adequate water flow and pressure throughout your home.

Yes, you can shock a well yourself, but it can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. We recommend calling a pro, but if you decide to do it yourself, make sure to follow proper safety precautions. This means wearing the correct safety gear, such as rubber gloves, goggles, and boots. You should also mix the chlorine solution in an open area with plenty of ventilation. Also, make sure not to drink or use the water for a few days afterward, until you’ve flushed the system and retested the water.

The cost to fix low water pressure heavily depends on the cause of the problem. In some cases, all you need to do is open a valve, which won't cost you anything. However, plumbing repairs cost an average of $325, so if you have a broken pipe or other plumbing problems, you might pay something close to that figure, or more, depending on the issue.

Frozen well pipes make themselves known quickly, as your faucets slow down to a trickle or shut down completely. If you notice a serious reduction in flow in the winter from toilets, showers, kitchen faucets, and other plumbing fixtures, a frozen pipe or two is to blame. Another tell-tale sign is frost or ice on exposed pipes outside.
