"Very professional, safe and efficient. Took the time to show us how light timer works. Wired so very little electric cord shows with no excess. Lights are perfectly placed and spaced. No issues so far."

"Sky Power Wash has handled our holiday lighting now for a few years. Always friendly, punctual and they get the job done! Love the fact that they not only do the install, but also removal and storage! And the early bird and repeat customer discounts are a definite plus!"

Customers say: Quality work

"Joe called me within an hour of my request, scheduled service within a week of that call, showed up when he promised he would, & demonstrated a strong work ethic with quality results. He is even changing the type of clip he will be using next year for a tighter fit on our gutters, thus demonstrating pride in the work that he does. This picky homeowner is very impressed! Judy P"

"Victor is one of the best contractors we've ever worked with, and as Real Estate Agents and contractors in our family, we've worked with many over the last 40+ years. Victor is professional, respectful, and has immense integrity. Straightforward, upfront, excellent communication. He offers his professional recommendations and finds solutions that make the most sense and add value. He is impressively organized (he lays out all his tools on a sheet sometimes!), focused and completes jobs very timely. We have worked with him twice, he sets the bar high."

"Rob spent a lot of time up front understanding our needs and explaining everything to me about what it would take to build the retaining wall. We had a fixed budget and because their prices were so reasonable we were able to add a few more small projects to the job. The job is about 75% complete and we are very happy with their work so far. We would definitely hire them again."

"The company owner was amazing. He listened to my ideas and vision for my kitchen. Mr. McSwain was so helpful and explained each step. His work is so beautiful. This is the fourth project he has done for me. I highly recommend this company."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

You can take a few steps to prolong the life of your holiday lights. Make sure to replace burnt-out bulbs as quickly as possible to avoid overloading the rest of the circuit and knocking out more lights. Before packing them up each year, plug each strand into the wall to confirm everything is still working. Wrap the lights carefully back into their original packaging or something similar—winding a strand tightly together or leaving it to hang loose in a storage bin can lead to frayed or damaged wiring.

Technically, you can use duct tape to hang Christmas lights, but it’s not the best bet. Duct tape or other types of tape retain moisture, which isn’t ideal when near an electrical wire. Plus, it can peel off due to the elements. Duct tape is also a very unattractive option, visually speaking. Instead, opt for roof clips for Christmas lights, which are affordable and easy to use.

Between seasons, inspect cords for damage, replace burnt-out bulbs, and clean lighting fixtures to prevent dirt buildup. Proper storage in cool, dry conditions will extend the lights' lifespan and minimize repairs or replacements when redeployed.

No, you shouldn’t insert an LED light into an incandescent socket. It usually won’t fit anyway, but in the unlikely chance that it does, its electrical demands are too different for it to work properly.

Safe installation involves using appropriate anchors for weight and weather-resistant fixtures, ensuring all connections are secure and safe from water exposure. Removal should be performed carefully, avoiding pulling or yanking on cables to prevent damage to lighting and home exteriors.
