"We hired Brian Spear to gut and renovate our coop at Birch Hill. Brian offered great insight with design concepts, took initiative and did an outstanding job on the project with the help of his intelligent, kind and skilled team that reflect his true intentions. Everything they did, they did well. The only improvement for all our sakes would have been to get a clear idea of overall cost in a contract but itâ  s clearly a hard time to do that with material costs, labor costs etc. We are in the home stretch now and have a short check list for Brian. "Very disappointed, it quickly became clear that this person had very little experience with contract work or even good business practices. I felt like I was providing advice on how to run a business, and he wasn't able to make any recommendations about the project. The final straw was the posts he put in weren't secure or safe. I had to spend more money to find someone that would take over and finish the project and redo what had been done. I will say he was polite, and even admitted to being in over his head on a basic deck."

"I gave Xpro Remodeling a 50% deposit of $1,600 to start a job. They agreed to start in late August, and then took on another job, trying to push my work out two months. I asked for a refund and/or the possibility to bump me in earlier as I was having a tenant move in and she did not want work done in the house while she lived there. I ended up losing a month's rent, and then they did not start the job two months later. They cited that they could keep my deposit because I signed a non-refundable contract. They are the one's who breached the contract, and they think that they can legally and ethically keep my deposit. They were totally inflexibile and unethical and I am taking them to small claims court to recoup my deposit."

"Ryan signed a contract, took deposit money, lied about ordering the materials, finally ordered part of what was needed, repeatedly failed to show up as promised, did spend three hours one time only, on some prep work, always responded to phone calls, text messages and emails, but never followed through on the assurances he offered in response, and failed to return as of this posting any of the deposit per our written and signed contract."
