"Ryan has done multiple projects- from installing light fixtures, to updating/removing knob and tube. Remodeling bathrooms and laundry rooms to cleaning up past electrical work in my 122 year old home. Also- wiring hot tubs for me and putting in new electrical panels and breakers. Ryan is always timely- and more impressive he’s tidy! Ryan is still my go to from changing over hard wire smoke detectors to mouse chewing on wires- he’s wonderful to work with."

"Colin helped us out with running electricity to our detached garage, and installing a level 2 charger for our cars. His work was excellent and efficient. He was communicative before, during, and after the project, and he was on time each day. His initial bid was very competitive, and we're super glad that we chose Colin to work with. We're looking forward to our next project with him."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

You can install a dimmer switch on almost any light as long as the switch, bulb, wiring, and wattage are compatible. Check what kind of light you have, the type of light bulb, and the total wattage of the bulbs to ensure your dimmer is a match. You’ll want to choose a non-neutral wire dimmer if you don't have neutral wiring. Homes built before 1985 that don't have updated electrical systems may not have neutral wiring.

For a 200-amp underground service, you need a minimum of #2/0 American Wire Gauge (AWG) copper or #4/0 AWG aluminum or copper-clad wire. Don’t forget that, at minimum, you’ll need to use a 1 1/2-inch schedule 40 or 80 PVC conduit to successfully run a 200-amp underground service.

Yes. You can connect your home back-up battery to a generator with its designated charger. Be sure that the output of the generator matches the input requirements for the battery for best results.

No, you shouldn’t immediately reset a tripped breaker. If you don’t know what tripped the breaker, resetting it and continuing the actions that set it off could pose a hazard. It also means your breaker will sustain greater damage if it trips again. If you know the cause of your tripped power, unplug faulty appliances or fix the issues, then reset it, and wait a few minutes before using electricity in that circuit.

You should never plug a normal 120v appliance into a special 240v outlet, as it can quickly burn out the appliance. This will cause irreparable damage to the appliance and, in worse case scenarios, cause damage to your circuit breaker. Check your appliance’s rating before plugging it into a 220v outlet to avoid electrical disaster.
