"We had been having leaking in our ceiling near our chimney for almost a year, despite having had our roof and gutters and having our chimney flashing redone last year. After a number of frustrating follow-ups with our original roofer and chimney repair company, we called S&K, which came highly recommended on our community page. Sean came out within two weeks despite a very busy rainy season. He checked our roof and told us quite honestly that the problem was not the roof or even the flashing, which had been done well but the porousness of our older bricks. He applied some silicone sealant right then and told us to call him again if it didn't work after the heavy rains this weekend; he also mentioned we should just keep periodically reapplying this sealant ourselves. This leak has stressed us out for months and Sean was extremely honest and helpful. He didn't try to sell us any expensive repairs but was upfront about the problem. The level of professionalism, knowledge and service exhibited by Sean and everyone we spoke with is so rare nowadays; we can't recommend him or S&K highly enough."

"When Steve came over for an estimate, he said the house would be no problem. As he examined the floor surface of the deck, he presented some options. The surface had begun to splinter and warp. We appreciated his honesty in looking at what we had and telling us ways we could handle the deck, cost to do it, and how frequently in the future we would have to deal with it again. My husband and I discussed all the options and what the future held for us if we kept the wooden floor and wooden railings .As we are aging, we decided we wanted something that was maintenance free for us.....replacement of floor and railings was the way to go. Steve recommended a young man, Cody Burke, whom he said did great deck work. Pressure washing of the house would be done after the deck work was completed. We contacted Cody and have been totally satisfied in the job he did. He saw what could be done and payed attention to the details. Cody exerted no pressure on us as we looked at various materials but was totally honest in his appraisal of those materials. If he could not answer our questions, he tracked down people who could. The end result was absolutely great. After the deck was completed, Steve came and did the siding and steps leading up to the kitchen for us. He noticed that the chimney looked grungy and that there were moldy areas on our front sidewalk and on parts of the driveway.....Steve took care of those areas, too.. We have been totally satisfied with the work he did, with his suggesting we contact Cody for a deck "info" session, with the price for the job, and with his honesty and professionalism. He was punctual and was easy to talk to for information. We will use him again for the next pressure wash needed."

"The Century Siding team wrapped our wood rakeboards (three storeys above ground on both sides of the house) in aluminum. They did an absolutely fantastic job - very efficient, timely, and courteous. The quality of the work was excellent and they took the time to discuss what they did in some detail, so full marks for their communication. Overall, this is a firm whom we will be returning to for other work. They were recommended to us by a trusted contractor."

"They came and looked at our roof but unfortunately they do not understand what an estimate means. The customer is expecting to pay a certain price for certain repairs. Nothing more, nothing less. This company likes to include open ended clauses in the contract which would allow them to charge more as they see fit when they get the job and the competition with other providers is over. This is just unacceptable. Nobody hires a company without a clear budget unless they want trouble."

"While the materials and communication was good, unfortunately there were some things that left a bad taste and I am not sure I would use them again. While there were some issues that they are addressing quickly, like replacing a part of the door they changed because a piece was smothered with white silicone, and also replacing a panel that was broken when they capped the trim outside my home, and they destroyed my big rosemary bush. I'm baffled as to why they didn't notify me at the moment and instead I had to wait until the walk-through to find out. The forklift person who came to pick up some material that wasn't used left a hole in my driveway. I just sent them some pictures, but haven't heard back, but hopefully this looks like it will be repaired. I am also not happy with how the door looks after the install and the reply from the QA walk-through was 'that is how we seal all the doors'. I appreciate that the amount of clear silicone used will prevent leaks and bugs, it looks like someone watched a whole bunch of YouTube videos and at the end some measurement went wrong and the mistake was covered up with an uneven line of silicone. Time will tell how long the silicone will hold against concrete. He was thorough and gave me all the options necessary to make sure I was getting the door I really wanted. The measure tech Jesse was just as personable and walked thru all the options on the contract to double check everything would be ordered to my satisfaction. When the install date came around, the project manager Dylan maintained contact and kept me informed every step of the way. Oscar's crew showed up on time as promised, and executed a flawless installation. It's amazing the difference a new front door and storm door can do for the curb appeal of your home, and Home Genius certainly did not let me down. I am beyond pleased with the end result, and would not hesitate to recommend."
