"Excellent work from Rick and his team. From initial contact all the way to job completion was stellar. I requested to have Rick and his crew clear, grade and spread topsoil in order to extend my backyard and remove the huge burm left behind from the initial construction of my home in 2014. Rick was able to complete the job in less than 2 days. Now we have a backyard we’ve always wanted. I would definitely recommend Rick for any clearing and excavation projects and will be using the company for future projects. Thanks Rick and Team!"

"I worked directly with Jasmine. Jasmine was great to work with, very professional and relatable. She was understanding about the sudden changes in color and material I had during multiple consultations. She offered me a vast knowledge of materials and details about the work I hadn’t thought of or didn’t know about. If I have another project in the future I won’t hesitate to reach out to Sentri Homes."

"They performed at a high level, great customer service and kept their promises. We had an unexpected storm come through while the roof was off prior to the metal going down and they managed through a tough situation. Would hire them again in a heart beat."

"They come out when they say they will. They are always on time. There is usually one technician doing the work.  We don’t have any critters in the house so treatment seems to be working.  For what they do, I think the price is a little expensive."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

The maximum size of a tiny home you can move depends on your state transportation guidelines, but the rule of thumb is a maximum of 400 square feet. However, as long as it falls within the local limits for traveling on public roadways, you should be good to hit the road.

Depending on your structure, you may not need planning permission. Major excavation, anything that changes the external appearance of your home, or any construction that will affect your neighbors will need planning permission. However, no planning permission is required if you’re just converting an existing space into a root cellar.

Complex plumbing is tricky and expensive in an off-the-ground dwelling like this. By considering options like composting toilets, rainwater collection, and gray-water sinks, you save money and help the environment.

Technically, most states allow tiny homes, but it depends on the definition of tiny and whether the structure is permanent. Zoning laws regarding home size and construction are significant factors. For instance, a tiny home may be legal as a recreational vehicle in most areas, but you may only install it on a property if it complies with building and zoning codes.

If you want to know from the outset how much you’re likely to pay to install an outdoor basketball court, create a budget breakdown that lists the following expenses:

  • Labor: How many work hours will you need, and what is the average price of labor in your area?

  • Materials: What material do you plan to use, and what is the average price per square foot?

  • Drainage, grading, and laying cement slabs: Do you need to level or prep your area? Have a professional evaluate your property to determine what you will need to pay a contractor to do this work.

  • Hoops, lighting, fencing, painting lines, and other extras: What extras are non-negotiable? Create a list of all of the extras you want your court to have.
