"Did an excellent job on our bathroom marble and kitchen granite countertops. I thought the bathroom was beyond repair they were so etched and faded. Now they look brand new. Marty was very personable and professional. So glad we found his services. Would recommend him highly."

"We had our formica countertops and stone backsplash replaced with quartz and a glass/tile backsplash. Our kitchen has a lot of crazy angles and Uno and his team managed to get everything done quickly and correctly. My countertops are beautiful! Uno was very easy to deal with and made sure everything was done well and professionally. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends."

Stone Countertops questions, answered by experts

Onyx countertops have pros and cons. If you seal it properly and take care not to damage it, it can make a good countertop surface. However, it's more often used in bathrooms, where it’s less likely to sustain damage. Having an onyx kitchen countertop is possible, but you’ll need to take extra care not to burn, stain, or otherwise damage the material.

Marble countertops can last from 20 to 100 years, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking for durability. The life span depends on several factors, including how well you take care of your marble countertops. Marble is a porous material, so it can require more upkeep than other countertop options.

It is not recommended to put a hot pan directly on a marble countertop. While marble is heat-resistant, it is not completely heat-proof, and extreme or prolonged exposure to high heat can cause discoloration, cracking, or chipping. Pans may also scratch or nick the surface. To protect your countertop and maintain its integrity, always use trivets or hot pads. Note that faux marble finishes do not resist heat and require protection from hot items at all times.

Yes, a granite countertop can be cut in place. However, learning how to cut a granite countertop in place is a lot trickier than cutting granite in an open, well-ventilated space. You’ll also need to protect everything in the surrounding area (like your kitchen cabinets and appliances), but even that might not be enough to prevent dust from getting stuck in tight spots. If you absolutely must cut a granite countertop in place, consider hiring a pro to get the job done in the cleanest and safest way possible.

Comparing engineered stone vs. natural stone countertops can help you figure out if one is better than the other for you. The answer depends on your preferences, needs, and budget. You might choose engineered stone if you are looking for something more cost effective and low maintenance, but it is hard to beat the beauty of natural stone counters. You may prefer their longer lifespan, the uniqueness of each slab, and their durability.
