"Extremely well. Mr. Frazier called to arrange a visit the morning after I requested the estimate. We toured the property and he explained what he was seeing clearly; he quoted a price for each of the three treed sections; judge the time that would be required, and offered a fair price. After one two-day postponement, he and his crew arrived and set to work. The project went exactly as planned over nine hours. Cleanup was perfect. Couldn't ask for more on a handshake (well, elbow bump)."

"Responsive, on time, pleasant, reasonable….we had Olinger’s do some tree removal and land clearing, and the result was better than we could have hoped for. David’s extensive experience and recommendations made the result better than we hoped. Will not hesitate to use his company in the future. Highly recommend this company!!"

Customers say: True professional

"-Knowledgeable concerning the impact of pruning a tree. -Punctual- he gave me a time when his team would arrive and they arrived at the appointed time. He told an estimated time to complete the job and it was done within the time allotted. - Very competent team. The climbers knew what they were doing. Part of the job was removal of large limbs over power lines. They removed the limbs without hitting the lines. The trees I had dopped, did not take any other trees or structures with them. -Has the equipment to deal with trunks as well as branches. The only service that I interviewed that used a chipper. -Last but not least, very reasonably priced. His contact information is on my phone for the next tree project I have."

FAQs for land clearing projects in Rhoadesville, VA

Unfortunately, some plumbing scenarios, like a broken sewer pipe repair, will require excavation to complete the job. Plumbing excavation costs range from $30 to $70 per cubic foot. However, if you need additional trenching, expect to pay an extra $4 to $12 per linear foot. Keep in mind that these costs are on top of the plumbing repair costs, and they don’t account for labor costs. Consult your excavation specialist to determine an accurate estimate for your job.

The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.

When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25 per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.

The cost for residential excavation is $3,200 on average, ranging between $50 and $200 per cubic yard. Total costs could range from $500 to $15,000, depending on the project type, yard size, and soil type.

When a project needs an excavator, the contractor will subcontract one as part of the larger project. If you hire an excavation specialist, you can expect to pay between $40 and $180 per hour. When excavating, if you have soil with excessive rocks or clay deposits, expect an additional cost of $200 to $1,200.

On average, removing a tree costs around $750, but you can expect to pay between $200 to $2,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.
