Small jobs welcome

"Moises and team carried out great work pruning some large trees and removing some dead trees from our yard. Provided a timely and competitive quote and left the site extremely clean and tidy. Our neighbors saw the work and immediately hired Moises to do similar work in their yard. Strongly recommended."

"From the beginning, I received a prompt return phone call and I explained the work I needed done and the work was scheduled for the following day. Mauro was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and honest, which meant a lot to me! The job was to remove a large maple tree branch that had broken off and was dangerously dangling high in the big tree. The work was done quickly and safely and the price was very reasonable. I felt so much better when that problem was taken care of! Would definitely use J & A Tree & Landscaping again! They are licensed, insured, and give free estimates. Give them a tryâ ¦"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

A palm tree's lifespan typically ranges from 40 to 100 years, though some species can live much longer. For example, certain types of Date Palm trees can live for over 200 years. The exact longevity of a palm tree is influenced by several factors, including its species, size, climate, and growing conditions. To maximize your palm's lifespan, provide proper care and maintenance, such as ensuring it gets enough sunlight, water, and nutrients, and protecting it from pests and diseases. For expert maintenance tips, consider consulting a professional arborist.

Late August, September, and mid-October are the ideal months for planting a young tree. However, the best time to plant a tree ultimately depends on when the weather transitions to fall-like conditions and eventually winter frost. As long as the hottest days of summer have passed and the ground hasn’t frozen yet, you can still successfully plant trees.

DIY is risky and not recommended for large trees; professional services ensure safe removal and proper disposal.

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

Surface-level tree roots might only pose a small threat, such as being a tripping hazard or obstacle when you mow your lawn. But if mature tree roots start growing in the direction of your home’s foundation or plumbing system, it could be a real problem. Cutting small tree roots out before they grow too large can keep your home safe without removing the whole tree.
