"Awesome end-to-end experience! After two other tree service arborists inspected trees with me but then failed to actually send estimates, I searched Angie's List and read many of Gordon's reviews. I left him a voicemail on a Friday. He called me Saturday and was willing to visit that weekend. Since I was busy over the weekend, he agreed to call Monday or Tuesday. He called Tuesday at approx. 11am, indicating he was in the area working a job and could be by in 30 minutes. I agreed to meet him. We inspected my four large shade trees (2 sycamore and 2 maples) and I explained we needed better visibility from front porch, unblock view of a corner stop sign, and ensure no growth into siding. He explained his additional recommendation for overall thinning and shaping. He provided an on the spot verbal estimate of $800 and when I asked if he accepted a credit card, he indicated yes, but would charge only $750 if I wrote a check. I had researched average job costs and Gordon's quote was very reasonable. I then asked what his lead time was and he indicated his crew was finishing a job nearby and they could be by in an hour after they ate lunch. He and his crew arrived promptly an hour later, a crew of six total, including Gordon. Gordon rang the doorbell and asked me to review first tree trimming with him before he moved on to remaining three to ensure it met my expectations per our earlier discussion. After finishing, Gordon asked me to walk our property and review pruning for all four trees. His crew was well organized, worked together like clockwork, and Gordon was right there with them working and directing to ensure all trees were pruned to expectations and clean-up was thorough. Our yard looks "larger" now and is very open with the thinning Gordon recommended, as they removed overlapping and dead branches to include providing more ground clearance. They look great and Gordon indicated they shouldn't require pruning again for at least five years. I'll now hire Gordon for annual tree / shrub maintenance (fertilize, insects, disease prevention) and fire the other provider that had provided that service but failed to provide a pruning estimate. I strongly recommend Gordon and his team for any tree related care! Well done!"

"Wow! Let me start by saying I had several contractors come by to give me estimates on fixing some major concerns I’ve had in my yard for quite a while. I needed a professional who could complete everything I needed at a reasonable price. Well, Mr Julio Escobar (ET General Contractor Inc) was able to accommodate everything I needed done. He listened to everything I needed and provided excellent suggestions as to the right approach to do the job. This entailed re-sloping my backyard to direct water away from my house foundation and installing a drainage system in my backyard. My backyard was a barren wasteland that needed quite a bit of work. I had barely any grass on one side with many trees that I wanted removed in order to get more sunlight and allow grass to grow. Julio’s crew did an amazing job (cut down trees, removed all branch/log debris and grinded/ground the stumps down to the roots). His crew planted 29 Japanese Cedar trees along my fence line. My appreciation goes out to Julio Escobar for working with the nursery to get me all Japanese Cedars instead of the Leyland Cypress trees. Exactly what I wanted all along. God Bless you! He and his crew trucked in tons of river rock to lay around my pool and along the foundation in the back of the house and then laid, I forget how many, rolls of sod. These guys worked hard and in the worst heat of the summer. Lastly, but definitely not least he and his crew brought in clean topsoil and organic compost, grass seed, and fertilizer to cover my front yard (that also was a wasteland). After that he aerated the area and laid sod on the sides of my driveway so that there would be no run off when it rained. I can’t express enough how professional, courteous, and attentive Mr Escobar and his entire crew were throughout the entire job. I would definitely use them again for future projects. I know there are so many companies to choose from but if you want an honest, fair, professional, caring and truly knowledgeable company this one is 100% the one to choose. You can't go wrong with them. I used the text message option to get in contact (that was a great option) with them and within an hour they showed up at the door ready to help with my tree problem. I learned more about trees in 10 mins than I've known my whole life. If you want the best company out there you definitely should use Virginia Tree Specialist. ?
