Matt and his Team did a Great Job! I give him and Goodfellers the Highest Possible Recommendation. He took down a large dead Oak Tree and thinned the canopy on two others. Very Professional and Friendly. He first did some work for me in 2002, then in about 2010. Again, I highly recommend Goodfellers and his Team.

The previous owner of our home had a utility pole installed between the house and the neighboring garage that was no longer being used. Matt came out and took it down piece by piece from the top down, carefully lowering each section to the ground. The work was down professionally, safely, and quickly. From the initial call to Goodfellers, everything was handled very efficiently. The company gets our stamp of approval, and we highly recommend them.

They were quick, professional, cleaned the area when finished, and their price was fair.

The service was excellent. This is the third time I have used their services to either take down and/or to maintain the trees in my yard. They are a reliable company and their prices are excellent. They work fast, but always maintaining a high level of safety in mind. They were thorough in walking thru my property to make sure what I needed done was the right method and to see if there was anything else that might need urgent attention. We planted a garden and then realized some nearby trees prevented enough sun to get to the garden. I contacted Goodfellers Tree Service and they were able to give me an estimate the next day. Once I decided on what trees that I wanted removed based on their recommendation, they were able to get me on their calendar quickly! Goodfellers expertise was very appreciated! Four trees were removed and the area was completely cleaned up! I highly Goodfellers Tree Service! They are very professional and knowledgeable. I’ll have them remove some other trees in the fall.

Matt and crew did great job as usual trimming our overgrown maple in the front yard. He also removed a half dead evergreen tree and grinding of its stump. He also made mention of bag worms on another tree that he noticed. He’s an honest hard working man.

Matt was great. He was professional acting and customer service oriented. He was patient when we asked questions about what he was doing and why. Because he was an arborist, we felt he was knowledgeable about trees and knew how to trim them properly. We have a lot of trees in our back yard. Our trees are very tall and so we were pleased that Matt would climb the trees so that all the individual trees could be trimmed and shaped. We would definitely use Matt and his team again the next time our trees need trimming and shaping.

After a storm with a lot of tree damage, we had Goodfellers come out. They were the most professional people we had give a quote. They provided a nice detailed quote with clear information. They did a great job and it was great to have a Certified Arborist providing insight into our trees. A year later, we had more trees that we weren't sure about, and Matt came out to look at them and told us the one that was dangerous and explained why others did not need to come down. We trust them and will continue to use them.

We had a great experience with Goodfellers from beginning to end! A prompt and extremely fair estimate, then an excellent job. Matt and Veronica were both a pleasure to work with. They removed a large dead oak from our property and removed all wood - you can't even tell they were here (other than the tree and all debris is gone!). Very knowledgeable (certified arborist) and able to tell us about other problem trees on our property. Will use their services again!

Goodfellers offers good work at a fair price, which is what I look for in contractors. Our tree was damaged during a pop up thunderstorm. Goodfellers came the same day to give an estimate. The estimate was sent to us the next day and we scheduled with Goodfellers after receiving a couple more. The work was done in timely fashion, the tree looks great, and they hauled all the debris away. I am very pleased with the service, and will use them again.

I was extremely pleased with their service and couldn’t recommend them more highly. First of all, they were the only company of the 5 or so that I contacted that even responded, and they were able to finish removing my downed tree that same day. I suspect that they are not just one guy with a truck like other providers, but a somewhat larger organization with multiple teams and more capacity to respond and do work quickly. They quickly offered a fair price via a detailed email, with instructions and offers for discounts. I did not need to be home for the estimate or for the work to be done. They showed up and started working at least a half hour early. There was no hard sell of “let me do the work right now or the price goes up.” They came and left, emailed the estimate, and then came back to do the work, all in the same day. There was no down payment required in advance, just payment after the job was done. They went above and beyond. They removed parts of some other damaged trees where I declined their service in order to save money. They also blew away my leaves and debris not just around the worksite, but in a significant portion of my yard, just to be nice! Full disclosure, they offered a $30 discount if you post feedback to Google and Angie’s list. But this in no way influenced my review — other than that it’s yet another reason I like them. They didn’t ask or require that the review be positive. They also offer a discount if you can pay in cash.

They showed up on the day they were scheduled. All work was performed as agreed upon. They cleaned up as agreed upon and were true to the estimated cost. I have had work done by Goodfellers before and it has always gone well.

Very honest quote, because it was a dangerous situation, he wouldn't guarantee it wouldn't fall on my garden. Gave me a few minutes to move everything I could - and it came down in the garden between the rows. It was amazing! I appreciate the honesty and choice of going the cheaper way of no guarantee or paying a higher cost with rigging etc. Once the dangerous limb was down, the 2 trees came down exactly where he said they would. He even cut the stump close to the ground. Very polite. I would use them again.

This is the second time I have used Goodfellers Tree Service. They are a very professional company and very easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone needing tree work.

I contacted the company for an estimate of taking a tree down at our rental property. We didn't want a dead tree to damage anything or hurt anyone at the property. We requested that they let us know when there were going out to let the renters know. Unfortunately that didn't occur and they went and estimated the job. But it was a quick estimate. We were able to schedule the job within a couple of weeks after we got another estimate, which was way more expensive. After checking out other reviews, we decided to move forward. On the day of the job, they had another project that they had to finish up, which we knew about. We asked them to contact us prior to them going out to the property, once again to let the renters know when they were heading over. At lunchtime, after not hearing anything, I contacted the office. I was told that they were wrapping up the previous job, but that they would let me know when they were heading over. After 2 hours, I finally contacted the renters to find out if they were there. They were. The job was done within a few hours and they did a great job cleaning up. I recommend them for the work, but believe they need to work on communication just a bit.

Came same day for estimate. Arrived a little later than expected but very efficient at removing our Bradford pear tree.

Matt and his team were totally amazing. We had a very old cedar tree that had gotten damaged in a wind storm. We didn't want to just cut down the tree. We wanted to save the trunk and the major limbs as a feature to grow futures roses up. Matt turned it into an art piece. Couldn't be happier with the result. The other tree that needed saved was also an older cedar. The wind had started to split it in half. All other companies said it would just need to come down. Matt knew he could save the tree by cabling and bolting it together. He did just that and now our tree is safe, healthy again, and able to withstand the next wind storm. The tree to be taken down was an easy job that probably any crew could have handled but Matt's team not only took it down with no damage but cleaned up the place like there had never been work done here. Love this crew!
