"We live in area near DC where the zip code seems to inspire a 20% upcharge from many contractors. Given that, we interviewed 12 different contractors for our small bathroom project. Ultimate Remodel LLC was offered the job, we have been incredibly happy with the entire project. Their communication, planning, design, gathering of materials, installation and execution of the project were on time, and first rate. The owner, the staff, and the workers respected our home during installation, and gave us a briefing at the start of each day, and an update at the end of each day in a clear, common sense manner that was honest and true. Every step of the project was honored with integrity and quality workmanship. We ended up having significant floor joist damage and reframed the entire space. The cost was covered in the contingency, and explained, labor and materials, joist by joist. They could have taken advantage since we had no choice, but they took pride in honoring the bid, and being able to stay within budget. After installing full house insulation, new sheathing, new siding, new roofing, new hvac, two electrical projects within a year, we were amazed by the ease with which Ultimate Remodel managed our full gut bathroom project. "When we first started to plan our kitchen renovation, we struggled to get responses from many local (Arlington, VA) contracting/kitchen&bath businesses. We were referred to Capstone Remodeling via a colleague who recently completed her bathroom remodel. Stephen returned our call immediately, and scheduled walk-through within a few days. The process was impressive. We had little-to-no knowledge of how kitchen renovations typically work, and didn’t have a clear picture in our heads for the final design. Stephen spent a little time taking notes, pictures, and making drawings of the general space. Following the visit, Stephen was able to provide us with a new design concept for the kitchen, which optimized the small space available in our condo kitchen, as well as a detailed estimate including labor and materials. Once we agreed, Stephen also provided us with his contacts for Cabinetry and appliances, who worked closely with us and Capstone Remodeling to ensure we purchased the right appliances for the new space, as well as coordinate deliveries and installation for cabinets and appliances. Stephen’s team provided electrical (had to re-wire some items!), plumbing, cabinet installation, flooring, painting and backsplash installation. Additionally, they worked with us to identify areas which may require additional adjustments (cabinets not quite in line, gaps between wall/cabinet, etc), installed a new ceiling fan, and removed all the old appliances for us! Due to the pandemic causing appliance stock issues, the process took longer than any of us expected, but the team was polite, friendly, honest, and seemed to genuinely care about the outcome. While I think they were hesitant about some of our color choices, we all agreed the kitchen turned out better than expected. We will absolutely use Capstone for our upcoming bathroom renovation!"

"I purchased a $59 coupon for 1 hour plastering/drywall repair and paid c. $130 for each additional hour/part thereof. Mike (the owner) came for a preliminary visit to look at what we needed done and give an estimate.  He was easy to reach, courteous and professional.  Joe came a few days later to do the work.  He too was punctual (arrived even a few minutes early) and polite and professional, worked quickly and cleaned up any mess.  I am completely satisfied with all aspects of the work in terms of quality and the professionalism of Mike and Joe.  I would definitely cal City Renovations and Remodeling again and recommend them to my friends.

"While it is normal for remodeling projects to create chaos and to be the muse of many a horror story, this ended up with a very pleasant end result. We had a complete renovation down to the studs to bring things up to code, which included ripping out the sub flooring and quite a bit of pipes. Parts were ordered and lost and found. Things went on backorder and were discontinued. We fortunately had a fantastic crew. Ismar (the contractor) did an awesome job of making sure that everything was done to spec and built beautifully. He followed our wishes and came back on the weekend and late to be sure the work was done right. The only real challenges were with the design and oversight from the office, between the designer losing our design specs on the first pass and not communicating proactively about delays or back orders, but thankfully these were more annoyance than problem. After a few handoffs, we got Eric E. as project manager, and he saw us through the rest of the project with much better results and only about 30% oversight still needed from us. Overall, we got a great bathroom out of the deal, so 4 stars."
