"All went well. Some issues with the foundation were worse than thought so the work took a little longer but it was definitely needed. Part of an addition had been built without proper foundation as in none. It was hanging in air. They made an extra trip to replace and fix drains that had to be removed. Took extra care to make sure as little damage to carpet as possible. Terrance Blackwell and crew came for the outside work. They were great. I really appreciated Terrance's extra trip to make sure the drains were fixed. Austin Wells and Peter Dang came for basement floor lift and level and I greatly appreciated their extra effort to take care of the carpets even though they had to drill through the floor. The little extras made a big difference. Good people, good work."

Modern day window contractors were not going to understand this job. It's very difficult to find a contractor that will come through on a promise and has the skill to do as they boast. The day that Grady stepped into my 90 year-old home that needed historic window restoration, he became a part of the house. He knew exactly what had to be done. More importantly, he understood my expectations. These windows needed special attention. There was a level of detail required that not any expert would be able to handle. Grady took the time to learn their needs and stayed on the job until it was to my satisfaction. He even reworked an entire window just because I didn't like the way that it looked. Grady truly showed expertise with his ability to work on such a delicate job and even taught me a few things about historic window repair. He replaced broken antique glass with one just as aged and just as historic. If a window had to be completely rebuilt beyond his solid estimate, he did it without any complications to my budget. My windows are not only restored, but they are literally brought back from the past. Any enthusiast will appreciate the lint-seed oil, putty, and antique glass that was all restored to perfection. It was a pleasure having Grady work with us. He even stayed in the house at times to make sure he was available for the job. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
