"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. "When I found my water heater leaking in the garage on a Sat. night, I called a plumbing service that advertises 24/7 service, mainly to find out if this was something that could wait until Mon, or if it was an emergency, as it was a slow leak and I still had hot water. They never called me back. So on Mon. morning, I searched plumbers and found Prestige and its many excellent reviews. I called Todd, who said he could swing by my house, take a look, and let me know what I should do. In less than 20 min he was there, found out my tank had rusted through and without immediate intervention would start seeping through the wall. He shut off the gas to the tank, drained it, and turned off the water to the tank right then and there. He was back the next afternoon and all the work was done in less than 3 hours. I highly recommend him and he has a customer for life."
