"I had some mattresses, frames, cabinets and other miscellaneous furniture that needed to be junked/hauled away, and the guys were super responsive, professional, and easy to work with. As I do more work around my house that requires a cleanup or removing of junk, I’ll definitely be reaching out again. Thanks!"

"extremely well. Fast and no scratch or brake or damage. They arrived at 8:30 ,as agreed, worked until 12:30 when the truck was full. They went to the new house and unloaded. Unloading was fast and with no issues, they reassembled all items and always cleaned after them. During the time of the u lad they got another crew to come and pick all items that didn't fit the in the first truck. This made all the process go faster. I was afraid from this move as I hear all the stories of movers. Well, Rick and the team changed that. Great job team and will work with you in the future.

"Most of the large items had already been moved out by a larger company. There were several items that he disposed of and made 3 deliveries on our behalf. He took a dinning room table to a location and went out of his way to do that. He also took the bulk of the items to habitat for humanity to donate the furniture that my mother didn't want anymore. The last thing he did was took all the items that were junk and took them to the trash for us. He did a great job and for the price I would recommend him. He went out of his way and adjusted his schedule for us."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Whether it's worth repairing your garbage disposal depends on its age and the specific problem. Generally, if the unit is eight years old or younger, repair is a good option. For minor issues like a bad seal or a simple jam, a repair can be inexpensive, sometimes under $10. However, if the motor is broken (a repair that can cost $150 or more) or the unit is getting old, it's often more cost-effective to replace the entire disposal.

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

To prevent drain clogs, perform regular maintenance and cleaning. Avoid disposing of substances like grease or coffee grounds down the sink. Additionally, installing and routinely using drain strainers can help catch debris and prevent blockages from forming.
