"This company is a disgrace and should be avoided at all costs. We replaced every window and door at the cost of 55k only to have a complete disaster from beginning to end. 14 service calls and 18 months later they just completed the work in mid December 2022. Last night I discovered yet another problem, a dent in a door panel they changed out in December. They’re a bunch of amateurs that were not prepared any of the 14 times they were at our home. I basically had to project manage their team for them to make sure they had everything covered. We should have gone to Pella instead. Incidentally, Pella were very interested in our horrible experience with Richmond Window Corporation when I spoke with them recently. Apparently it’s not the first time they’ve heard complaints like this."

"I called late afternoon and they were out before noon the next day. The repairman had everything needed on his truck and was able to do the repair quickly. It's a good idea to send them some pictures of what your setup looks like (especially if you have older doors, like I did) so that they can make sure they've got the correct parts when they come out. Would definitely use Hall's again."

Prehung doors are a clean, efficient way to install new doors without having to piece everything together yourself.

Begin by determining which way you want the door to swing based on the layout of your room. Traditionally, left-handed doors have a doorknob closest to your left hand, and right-handed doors include a doorknob closest to your right. Right-handed doors with left hinges swing inward and vice versa. This can vary based on the layout of your home, though.

To choose the best door, start by pinpointing its most important job in your home, then choose the material and style based on that function. Simply put, there’s a world of difference between what an interior bedroom door and driveway-facing entryway door do for your home. Thinking about your door's purpose first, then its look and style, will help you make the right choice and stay on budget.

A barn door needs a bottom track to ensure it operates smoothly and doesn’t get stuck or scratch the floor. This bottom track also keeps the door secure and properly anchored. When installing a barn door with a bottom track, ensure it is six to eight inches off the floor and at least twice as wide as the door. In rare cases, an interior barn door can hang from a top track and slide along the wall. This design doesn’t require a bottom track.
