No, you cannot permanently seal concrete. The porous nature of concrete means that it’s always vulnerable to water intrusion and staining, even under the best sealants. Although some concrete sealing products can last for a long time, a genuinely permanent concrete seal remains elusive.

If properly installed and maintained, polished concrete floors can last 50 years or longer. Concrete can be a difficult material to handle, requiring expert knowledge in mixing and application. Unlike paint, concrete stain won’t peel off. Instead, the color absorbs into the surface of this porous building material. Yes, cinder blocks must be primed before painting. Without primer, your paint won't stick to the surface of the blocks.
