"There were some miscommunication about pricing.  There were some last minute scheduling difficulties.  The carpet that they installed, it was fairly clear that the person doing the installation had not installed carpet before, it's missing a little bit of padding.  They did offer to fix it, however; I was frustrated due to the scheduling difficulties and the pricing difficulties so I declined having them come back out again to fix the carpet."

"I called Waterproofing Inc on a Wednesday and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for Saturday. Steve promptly came at the scheduled time and we reviewed the situation in my basement.   I told him of my goal to have a finished DRY basement.  He looked at my existing pump and drain. He suggested that I could apply (or have applied) plastic sheeting to the walls to help with the seepage problem. However, he doesn't do that type of work. He also asked me what I thought the problem was with the moisture problem. He suggested that he could extend the current waterproofing system along the entire back wall and gave me a written estimate for that work. The reason that I rated him a B and said I would hire him was because I didn't feel confident in his diagnosis of the root cause of the water problem and his proposed solution to address the issue so that my basement could be dry. I am looking for a one stop shop with a solution driven individual who comes in as a problem solver. I just didn't get that from Steve. He didn't even look (or ask to look) outside the house to see how the water comes off the back of the house where the problem is.  I'm guess if I just wanted someone to drill up the concrete and put a drain in, he would be fine because his price was reasonable for that work. But I'm looking for a holistic solution provider who will address all issues with the most effective and efficient techniques to keep my basement dry.  I just wouldn't hire him for that role."
