The crawl space was cleaned, encapsulated, a dehumidifier was installed as well as a fresh drain system. The staff was professional, on time, kept us advised of their work and progress and cleaned up daily. We would highly recommend Bay Crawl Space Repair for any work that you need done. "Very professional and friendly. Never stopped working except for their lunch break. While under the house, they noticed a leaking drain line. The mechanic photographed it and showed me the picture. If not for his effort, I would not have known about it."

"Workers were encapsulating our crawl space and accidently hit a pipe and it burst open! We had never needed a plumber at our vacation home so I had no one to call. Luckily I stumbled upon Benjamin Franklin Plumbing by asking our propane company for a recommendation and they were able to send Anthony out to fix it after hours but by the end of the day! Anthony was so kind, professional, explained everything to me and quickly took care of the burst pipe. Kudos to Anthony! Anyone that needs a reliable plumber should call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of the Eastern Shore."

"They came in the first day and demoed the pipes and tub. This mess stayed in the front yard for four days. I was teased that my house looked like Sanford and Son. The work progressed from there. The yard did get cleaned but the bathroom was not

"I didn't have work done, but I called to find out about getting an inspection for mold in my house based on a previous leak. I told the person that I wanted to see if they would be able to better a previous quote from another company. I was told I could pay $325 for a mold test or I could have them come out for a $95 service call for them to assess the area and that would come off the total of the estimate if I have the work done. They didn't seem very eager to help and were not overly friendly. Maybe I'm just looking for some better customer service."

"The restoration on the two wooden chairs was excellent.  I could not find any trace of the previous badly done repair.  Mr. Delgado managed to undo the splintered condition.  All scuffs were removed, the supports were fixed and the finish was matched perfectly.  The upholstery job on the cushions was less satisfactory.  Apparently Mr. Delgado farmed this work out to someone else who did not have such skill.  The cushions were notched so that added to the difficulty of sewing a cover, but the piping was uneven, there was some puckering in the corners of the seat piece, it appeared that something like a bit of glue got on the fabric,  and the zipper folds were uneven.  The upholsterer did not have sufficient skill.  The covers are good enough for the time being and no one will notice except me, but I will have another contractor do the cushions if they eventually need to be redone.

"Darnel has a father and son team. He provided good customer communication throughout the process. He was on time and did a great job removing tree debris. Darnel and his son worked 2 hours straight and charged a fair price. I definitely would hire again."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Regrading your yard can often fix drainage problems. You can also try aerating the lawn to encourage better drainage or install a new drainage system to prevent water from pooling in certain areas.

Bleach isn’t likely to help unclog a sewer line. Bleach isn’t useful in this situation because it won’t dissolve the grime and debris in the clog. Instead, you want to use ingredients that will have a chemical reaction to clear out the buildup, like vinegar or salt and baking soda.

Once you’ve poured the baking soda and vinegar into a drain, you should wait about 10 minutes for the mixture to break down the clog. If you try the baking soda and vinegar method and it doesn't work, you can do it again or try the baking soda and salt trick.

A small amount of diluted bleach is okay to pour down a garbage disposal. As part of your weekly garbage disposal maintenance, use 1 teaspoon of bleach with your concoction of ice cubes and lemon peels. Turn on the disposal and run the water until the blades chop up the ice cubes.

Any more bleach in your disposal can harden oils and greases in your drain, which can cause problems. Always wear gloves when working with bleach, and know that you really don’t need bleach at all—vinegar, baking soda, salt, and ice should do the trick.

Clogged pipes are one of the top signs your water heater is about to fail. Potential symptoms of excess sediment buildup include not enough hot water, leaks, unusual noises, low water pressure, and discoloration or odors in the water.
