Customers say: True professional

"Every aspect of this job, from my initial conversation with Darin to the quick and on time completion of the work, were handled in an exemplary, professional manner. After going over his prices, we decided to hire Darin to do two jobs at our home: long overdue exterior power wash and 2nd story gutter cleaning. We were very pleased that he made the time on his end to schedule the two jobs back to back on the same day because that made it so convenient for us and our schedules. On top of that, the end results exceeded our high expectations. So, it ended up being a great experience and I highly recommend Darin and Virginia Gutter Services for both power washing and gutter cleaning."

"We were very satisfied. House was shining clean. Very efficient. They were very professional and completed project in timely manner. No complaints. We plan on having service back for another deep cleaning in November. Maybe even regular cleaning if our lady cannot continue to work."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes. Every toaster is bound to accumulate a build-up of crumbs and food particles. If left unattended, these can turn into a fire hazard.

Yes, you can use baking soda to clean your water dispenser. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with one quart of warm water, then use a sponge or cloth to wipe the solution on the inside and outside of the dispenser. For tougher stains and grime, you can also make a lightly abrasive paste of one part baking soda and one part water to gently scrub tougher areas. Then rinse the dispenser with water.

If you’re hiring a house cleaner, you should have them clean the house bi-weekly. This is the most common frequency for people who hire house cleaners, but what’s best for you will depend on how big your house is, how many people live in it, and if you have any pets. If you can maintain tidiness and deal with any immediate spills or splashes on your own, then a professional clean bi-weekly or even monthly should do the trick.

The best way to help a family member or friend declutter their home is to hire a professional organizer or cleaner to do it for them. However, you can also help them make a plan to tackle the clutter. Sit down with them and sort through the items, making piles of what to keep, toss, and donate. Focus on one area at a time to avoid overwhelming them. If they have trouble letting go of some items, ask them when they last used each item, what its purpose is, and whether it has sentimental value. The answers to these questions can help you advise them on handling clutter.

Ideally, you should do a cleaning once every week. Make your fridge cleaning a part of your weekly Sunday chores, if possible. This will prevent bacteria from breeding and help your fridge work more efficiently; spilled food can cause food to build up near the fridge vents, which forces your fridge to do more work to stay at an optimal cold temperature.
