Trustworthy, honest advice, and he answered all my questions thoroughly with visual and verbal explaination. Lux is a company I would recommend and use in the future. In my personal opinion, Alex saved me $10-30k in waterproofing. He said that I did not have a moisture issue in my basement and he gave me 3 things I could do to make my basement environment safe and sound for the future. A different contractor came in and gave me a free estimate to put a sump pump in for $7k and then I’d need to finish my basement for an estimate of $20k. Alex from Lux, said I had a dry foundation and that my mold on my vinyl was likely a cause from a leak years ago from my washer or my dishwasher a level above. "French drain was installed with drain boxes, berm installed near property line, sump pump installed into new drain, top soil added in disturbed areas, grass seed/straw over same. Company told me they'd be back to be sure grass was growing plus I needed more top soil and a cap is missing from sump pump line, but had no repeat visit -- this is my only complaint. The drain held up during/after recent big storm. Berm is deteriorating due to storm and more grass seed was needed before storm. Otherwise, I am very pleased. Company owner and workers were very pleasant. He explained process as work progressed. They're a little expensive, but it was a job well done."

"In 2007, I had the entire basement retrofitted for drainage as I was having some seepage problems in certain areas. Another waterproofing company based in Glen Burnie worked on it, however, when it came to the basement bathroom they didn't replace approximately 11 feet of pipe near the vanity and toilet. Guess what, after 6 years, that area of the bathroom started getting flooded with water every time it rained. It got to a point where I could not tolerate the nuisance that we had to put up with and tried calling the original company but they were out of business and I was left with no option but to hire another company to do the 11' of pipeline. Ameri-Dry staff came over and discussed with me the different options and we agreed upon a price. Mike and his staff worked very well in the more efficient manner on the day of the repairs. They completed the work well and on-time. It has been over two months and we have not had the recurring problem with flooding of our basement bathroom anymore.
