"I had a bedroom ceiling with a wedge shaped crack all across it. This was caused by workers who installed attic insulation, putting pressure on it one year ago. I was afraid the whole ceiling was going to come down. Mark knew just what to do. He followed the studs and anchored the cracked drywall to them with many long screw with washers. Then the ceiling laid flat. All he had to do was apply joint compound, sand, and paint. Now it’s nice and safe and it looks beautiful. He was prompt, professional, and polite. I would recommend hiring him again."

"They have a lot of people working so the job is done immediately. The quality of work impeccable. Not only are they people friendly, they also respect your house. They make sure to put down a drape and then clean up afterwards. I would highly recommend them!"

"Mr. Lowery is top notch. His quotes were on point and fair. He is honest and trust worthy and a very busy gentleman. He explains the job and what needs to be done. He is quick on his feet and has the equipment to resolve a problem(s) as they arise. I will hire him and his team in a heartbeat. He does Great Work!!! The pictures attached is the work he did in my parent’s bathroom shower. He installed two safety rails and a shower niche. The trap doors were added for easy access to the railings and he provided extra support to support the weight of my parents. We are Extremely Pleased with his work. Jimmie F."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $500 to $5,000, depending on damage size, labor, and finishing requirements.

Most load-bearing walls are exterior, though they can also be interior.

It’s always better to follow proven drywall repair tips and fix the seams that look bad. However, if you simply want to make them less noticeable until you have time to fix them, you can use paint. A darker color of paint makes bad drywall tape seams less noticeable than light-colored paint. Matte paint hides bad seams better than glossy paint does, too.

When you are learning how to tape and mud drywall, waiting for things to dry requires a lot of patience. So how long does drywall mud take to dry? On average, it takes about 24 hours. However, it depends on things like the thickness of the mud, as well as the room’s temperature, humidity, and ventilation. Using thin layers of mud in a warm, low-humidity room with good airflow reduces average drying time. You also could speed up drying time by making use of hot drywall mud, which consists of a powder that you mix with water, instead of using pre-mixed mud.

Very little. One inch of water can stain walls, warp wood, and create a perfect environment for mold growth. One to two inches of water can do significant damage to drywall, insulation, and electrical systems. Anything over that is considered an extensive flood, often resulting in severe structural damage.
