"Our 30 year old porcelain tub and tile surround were showing their age, with small leaks in the grout and caulking that kept recurring and requiring attention.  It is a bathroom used by teens so we wanted something easy to clean and maintain.  From the first phone call, Porcelite was an easy company to deal with.   The owner, Mr Wachter, came out and provided an estimate for installing a liner over the tub and wall surround.  He came back a second time to address concerns I had about the drywall behind the tile surround.  He provided an estimate, including removing some tile and replacing some drywall behind it just to be on the safe side.  We scheduled the work.  The Porcelite guy showed up as scheduled, installed the liner in about 7 hours, and we could use it the next day.  It looks great, very bright white, and is much easier to maintain than the old tile was.  It was a straightforward job from start to finish.

"The overall experience was exceptional. Luis meet with my wife and I and did a walk thru of the property and provided us with an estimate within an hour of the walk-thru. I already had heard excellent things about his company from numerous co-workers who had FDC paint their home. "This is the third time I hired Shalom Home Solution for a painting job----I just used their service a few days a go to pain the house I was moving into. I hired them to paint the house I was putting on the market for sale. This is a singe family house with about 2750 sqft of living space. The painting includes all interior drywall surface, window and door frames and baseboards. Again, the crew did a very good job in painting the interior and making minor drywall repairs along the way. Window treatment were taken down and put back without problem. The house was cleaned up afterwards. When I pointed out a few areas where the painters missed, Amilcar personally finished them himself. The job was completed on time."

"The installation went very well. The company sent a very articulate and extremely knowledgeable representative (Brian) to scope out the work prior to the scheduled installation. The flow of the conversation put me immediately at ease since the work was being done in my newly built home. Brian informed me up front that the work may result in an extra cut or two in the drywall which would result in additional cost to repair (not good news at all, but at least he told me up front!). Brian then took the time to explore various options with me (as I was looking to avoid extra cuts and extra costs) and we came up with a solution that was free of extra cuts and extra cost.
When the two technicians came out a week or so later, they were prompt, professional and took the time to ensure I understood what was to be done and how. The company was 3 for 3 in sending men who were kind enough to indulge my questions. The two gentleman were just as considerate as Brian and it was extremely cool being informed by the two installers with the same conversational flow and consideration as Brian. It seemed important to all 3 representatives that I clearly understood and was in agreement with the work to be done. So very awesome!!!
In addition to the technicians, the women in the office were kind, funny, and professional. Service matters to the folk at Walls Electrical. I would use them again in a minute!!!"

"I knew what to expect from talking to the owner of the company, Steve Norfolk, and reading reviews of this type of work on Angie's list. It was going to be a messy and noisy job, and it was. However, the noise wasn't as bad as I expected from the jack hammering of the concrete floor and drilling into the walls. The two men who did the installation were very good about cleaning up the work area at the end of the day and when the job was completed. They were also very polite and answered any questions I had as the job went along. I was very satisfied with the way the basement looked when the job was completed. Steve's wife Mary was great too, when I asked for an owner's manual for the sump pump and battery backup, she immediately put the papers in the mail. The reason it took so long for me to finally write a review is that I was waiting for hurricane season to end, hoping to see how the system worked in a big storm. It figures that it was a quiet hurricane season! However, we did have 6 inches of rain over a two day period in October and the basement was totally dry.

"I have used Marshal Painter, Owner of Great American Log homes earlier in year for deck project that was excellent. I had him give me estimate for above project. I had 3 other esitimates for painting work and I found one was more expensive, one about the same price and one was about 2000$ cheaper(handyman) but was going to require a lot of hands on by myself to help with the project and could not do carpet or flooring.
As with prior work with Mr Painter, he was enthusiastic about doing the work and got started very soon after we agreed on the project details. He asked for 1/2 the money up front and the remainder after 100% finished. I chose the colors I wanted in each room/area. He used Shermain WIlliams "emerald" quality paint. He is very knowledgeable about painting and what type of finish to use in different areas. He was very detailed to know what trim to paint white and what to paint with color. He did two coats of paint with the lighter colors and three coats with some dark colors I had chosen. My house had a huge amount of drywall work that needed to be done with lots of cracks in the drywall seams as well as damaged ceiling drywall from water leaking. His crew did a great job of sealing every little crack and creavace and when completed my 7 year old house looked like it was brand new.
His crew did new hardwood flooring and looked experienced with how to do this. the hardwood flooring looks great and blends into the existing flooring like it was done in the original construction.
The carpet replacement in my upstairs level was sub contracted to another crew that works with Mr Painter but he oversaw the entire process and went very well and looks great with no flaws.
The entire project of painting, new flooring and carpeting required that all the existing furniture needed to be moved all around the house to get it out of the way. Mr Painters crew did a great job of doing all the heavy lifting without any incidents of breaking or damaging anything. We had to move all valuable and delicate nick nacks, but that is to be expected and the way I would prefer.
As with Mr Painter on the last project, He was present every day and supervised everything. He spoke to me daily and was sensitive to how disruptive this project was on our daily lives. The total project was done in about 2 weeks start to finish. There were small issues that came up that Mr Painter was very quick to resolve to my satisfaction.  The work was excellent and Mr Painter's attitude was exceptional.  As with any project I will always get comparison prices, but I find that honesty, hard working and reliabilitiy are worth paying for.

"I was very, very pleased with the remodel. Will (Rorer) took the room almost down to the studs and basically re-built the whole thing! He and his crew were polite and respectful. The estimated time for completion was 5-7 working days, and it took 15, but it's a testimony to their work that it didn't even bother me that much (it helped that he put the toilet back every night except one)! They do quality work, even if that means it takes longer (replacing some plumbing, building out the studs before applying drywall). We had a misunderstanding about decorative tile placement (they aren't designers. I should have been more specific about placement), but he was willing to work with me to come to a mutually agreeable resolution. The maintenance folks in my condo complex complemented him on how well they cleaned up. The owner of the store where I bought my tile said the contractor was a very nice man. I would hire them again in a heartbeat (and I intend to do just that soon)."
