This means that your belongings are loaded on the truck and not combined with anyone else’s items (from/to west coast only). They are not transferred to other trucks or facilities in route which causes damage and loss of items (typical with van lines). We have a set loading day and unloading day. This is by far the safest way to ship. Our interstate rates are per 24ft moving van that holds up to 8,500lbs or 1400CuFt. Some customers require one truck and some require more. "The movers were late arriving to my house and then it took them 7 hours to arrive at my new house that is 3 hours away. I never received a call from Adrian to let me know they were going to be3 late, I was the one who called him. While the other 2 guys were moving my items into my house, Adrian was playing on his phone and watching baseball on his iPad. At one point Adrian told me to "check my attitude" and he would "hug me" before he left. I made him aware he would not be hugging me. During the move, my dining room was damaged and my dining chair upholstery was punctured. I sent Adrian pictures of the damage and I have yet to receive a call from Adrian. The 2 gentlemen working with Adrian were excellent! They were kind, respectful and worked diligently. I can't say the same about Adrian. I was shocked to learn Adrian owns the company. Adrian provides very poor customer service> My recommendation is that you DO NOT hire Collegiate Movers!"

On average, it takes 4 to 6 hours to move a pool table, depending on factors like its size and weight and the distance it needs to travel. For larger pool tables or those with a ball return system, the time can take closer to 6 to 8 hours due to the complex disassembly and reassembly.

The first step in moving a house is to provide blueprints and assess which parts of the house you can move. The next steps are obtaining permits, inspecting the structure, securing road permits, and getting bank approval.

When it's time to move, professionals can prepare the house by disconnecting utilities, removing items, and adding support braces. The house is then lifted with steel beams, jacked up, and placed on dollies for transport. Once it’s at the new location, it gets lowered onto the new foundation, utilities get reconnected, and additional features, like porches or garages, are added.

It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.

Tipping movers isn’t required, and most professional movers won’t expect it, but it’s a nice gesture to show your appreciation for the care they put into keeping your belongings and home safe. It’s best to tip each mover individually, usually around $10 each per hour.   • Use suitcases to pack belongings
