"Exceptional job. They arrived on time each day. Cleaned after painting each day. Bathroom ceilings that had revealing screws were plug and primer applied where needed. All walls covered evenly with paint. I'm a happy customer."
"Everything went great! I needed to secure painting in a home before I'd moved in, so the estimate/contract needed to be made based on floorplans and photos and not an in-person visit. Other painters were unwilling to work with me on that, but Wilber was great. He was responsive, the price was good, and the work got done even faster than he estimated. He also found some old wiring that was junking up the line of the baseboard and removed the wires and repainted the baseboard (even though that was not part of the contract) so that the room would look perfect. Would hire again!"
"The workers were on time and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. The trim looks great and the chandelier is beautiful. The workers helped move the furniture back after completing the painting. Brian and his crew will be performing a number of projects for us in the near future."
"Dory was excellent! She took down old wallpaper that I had painted over and then hung new wall mural in asmall bathroom. All for a very reasonable price!. I would definitely red C her again"
"All around great guy, texted him with short notice and got right back to me. He did amazing work and got it done even before he said it would be done. I would definitely recommend him for your painting needs. Great work"
"FANTASTIC! Already hired again! I made the mistake of not hiring Atlantic Dominion the first time to paint this room. However, Don came in and explained how he could remedy the unsavory unfinished work. He started promptly on the work and was able to save the walls. I spend a lot of time in my living room and now I want to spend even more time because the walls, trim and ceiling are magnificent. If you are like me, it has been hard to put a nail in the professionally painted wall to hang curtains or hang a picture. Just don't want to mess up the fine work that Atlantic Dominion did. I enjoyed his work so much that I have him out for another project. Hire Atlantic Dominion TODAY!"
"Rise up did an excellent job. Was very responsive. Showed up right on time. Work done in a very professional manner. I am in love with the final result. Would definitely recommend Rise up to anyone looking for a wallpaper installer!"
We are a small painting company whose main focus is on great customer service and a high quality of work. We are new company that is looking to set the bar high with the customer satisfaction that cant be matched by other company's. The fact we are a smaller company gives us the ability to focus our attention to detail and working closely with the customer to finalize their vision.
"Tom did an excellent job. I saw his work at a neighbors home and was impressed. Tom took the time to work with me. He reviewed quality of paints, price options, and schedule for work. The prep work on the walls (sanding, repairing dings, etc.) was excellent. It was nice to have the estimate for work prepared, presented and performed by the owner of the business instead of a sales/marketing rep. I would recommend Tom to anyone needing quality interior painting. "
"Job was completed right away and quickly which was crucial as we needed to move in and had a brief window to allow for a company to provide an estimate and complete the painting. Work was acceptable. Supervisor stated that they routinely patched textured walls but the work on this was poor. Required me to go behind them to ensure plates were removed, patchy work was fixed, and clean up was adequate. Found our front door open with no one home - one of the doors had not been adequately shut and locked and popped open. Signs were put in our yard without permission and we received a letter from our HOA about it."
When installing new steel doors, it’s smart to do other projects simultaneously. This can lower costs, limit mess, and help your home look and function better. For example, replacing a damaged doorframe is wise when planning door installations.
Also consider changing broken or worn-out locks, repairing or replacing weather stripping, and updating handles. Painting, staining, or upgrading the trim around the door can also improve energy efficiency, security, and aesthetics.
Yes, peel-and-stick wallpaper is available that’s made from vinyl—it actually is the most common material used in peel-and-stick wallpaper. Learning how to install vinyl wallpaper is far easier when you’re using a peel-and-stick design than with adhesive. You could also select peel-and-stick wallpaper that consists of paper, polyester, or natural fibers.
Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.
Yes, many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, especially those made of vinyl or polyester. However, its success depends heavily on the level of moisture and ventilation. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.
In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.
Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.
