"

Hotmixx paving built a new section of driveway that connect to an existing one, they installed the new section and resurfaced the existing pavement. Jim and his crew did a wonderful job, it's finished in one day just like what I was told, I live on a busy street and the traffic can be crazy from time to time, Jim and his crew handled this situation well and the job was well done. They would not have happened without Mike's excellent communication. I actually contacted another company for the job before, It took me too much effort to get a reply from the other company. Mike, on the other hand, always answer his phone or get back to me quickly if he could not pick up my call at the time, I never had to wait more than 30 minutes. Mike is very professional and knowledgeable, he answered all my questions in a timely manner. I'd recommend Hoxmixx and Mike's service to everyone who want a new driveway and want a pleasant experience.

"The guys did an amazing job finishing our driveway after the first company we hired disappeared after ripping out the old driveway and never came back. They took the time to rebuild the base properly, leveled everything, and then laid a beautiful layer of asphalt. They worked with us on the price which was very helpful. They worked efficiently, professionally, and cleanly. 100% would recommend and hire again."

"Great!! Brennan came a few days earlier than expected. Work was done in a professional manner. Get the measurements correct, speed was NOT the primary interest. Identified stakes, and placed "flags" every 20 feet along the border. Price as extremely reasonable."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Sometimes, when people talk about asphalt driveways, they’re actually referring to asphalt concrete, which is a completely different compound. Asphalt concrete is asphaltic cement combined with sand or grit. It is significantly more lasting and durable than regular asphalt but also much more expensive. If you’re considering using asphalt concrete, ask an asphalt company for their expert opinions.

While some areas may allow for a slope of up to 20%, this is often the maximum slope for driveways, with a few exceptions of up to 25%. Other regions may have a maximum of 12%, 15%, or 18%, so check with your local building department to ensure you’re laying a driveway that is up to code for your location.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

Gravel is the cheapest way to extend a driveway. Gravel is an affordable, practical option that’s easy to install and perfect for DIY projects, helping you save on labor costs. It can be quickly spread and leveled to create extra driveway space without heavy preparation. While gravel doesn’t offer the same durability or finished look as concrete or asphalt, its low cost makes it ideal for budget-conscious homeowners who want a functional solution without overspending.
