"After interviewing several companies to have our kitchen remodelled, we selected VKB, and we are happy we did. VKB provided a lower estimate than other companies, and their reviews were good. As our designer, Sean was easy-going, accommodating and patient in explaining our options. He promptly created the 3d pdf files with the design of our kitchen, which were helpful to have throughout the project. Adam was in charge of our project, and his responsiveness and understanding were outstanding. At one point we were a bit unhappy with a corner cabinet, but reluctantly we felt we needed to "settle" because there was not sufficient space for a Super Susan. NV gave us a competitive price, on par with the other bids we got, and their bid seemed more comprehensive than some of the others. Jaime did an excellent job explaining everything to me and talking me through any questions we had. Once the work began, Manny and the rest of the guys did a great job—they were on site promptly each day and were clearly working hard over the three days of the project. Manny was very communicative and easy to work with and even went out of his way to help us with some extra items in the yard. The crawlspace looks awesome now—clean and dry! I had originally called to have the level of my addition trued up...the adviser recommended replacing my 4 older jack posts with new version, and that even though these Jack Posts were over 10 years old, that the work would be covered under warranty. I have been a JES customer for roughly 15 years (or longer), they have been to my house a number of times, and every time they have performed flawlessly in terms of the quality of work, the professionalism, as well as the cost."

"We live in Potomac Md and utilized â  58 Foundations for the installation of a sump pump, french drain and various other water damage prevention measures. Sheldon was our technician and he was absolutely exemplary. Completely honest, extremely thoughtful, did exactly what he said he would do and did it very well . I can be a pretty tough customer and Sheldon was one of the best people I ever dealt with. We have had some very persistent issues with water around the house. He thoughtfully addressed each problem and to the extent there were any issues, he identified the issue and dealt with it thoroughly. I would highly recommend Sheldon and â  58 Foundations."

"Good people to work with, professional in every way. Normally when we received 2" of rain water would start entering the basement. When we receive 3" the basement floor would be covered. Two days after installing their system our area received 8.5" of rain and our basement remained dry, not a drop got in the house. These guys know what they are doing."

"I had a small but complicated, hard to access, and structurally essential repair job on a 60-year-old concrete deck attached to my 280-year-old Pennsylvania limestone farmhouse. I contacted several masons listed for my area on Home Advisor, and included Mr. Grady as a long shot -- I read about his expertise with historical structures and wished I had access to such an expert craftsman, but I didn't think he'd be interested in my teeny job and assumed I wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. He was the first one to return my call and to look at the job, and I thought his price was fair. I believe now it was way more than fair, considering the time he spent. He did extensive research, going over a structural engineer's report I had done previously on the deck and even examining the original architectural drawings and materials invoices from 1959. He showed up at least three times to complete the repair in stages, and has been back a half a dozen times since then to check the job -- and my location is not exactly in his neighborhood. He accepted only enough payment in advance to pay for lodging for himself and his assistant when they stayed nearby one night in order to be there early the next morning. He gave and continues to give free advice about preserving my stone house and patio. If you prod him a little, he might even share some of his personal philosophy, earned over a lifetime of work that is clearly more of an art form than a job to him. Overall, I'd say you can hire one of many competent contractors and get an adequate job, or you can hire Mr. Grady and get superior work by someone who cares about your property as much as you do."

"We were having other work done, and we very impressed with the crew and the work they were doing that we contracted for this second job.
Everything went very well. They were very informative, and were very patient with our many questions. They helped us with a problem of the hole originally left for our dishwasher being too short.
(We'd had complaints from installers of new dishwashers that the space was almost too short to get the new ones in. The old counter top had already been shimmed in that one spot as much as it could be to allow for room. New flooring might have made the problem much worse.) 
They removed the old kitchen counter top, as well as a pass through board we were replacing. They removed the old sink and disposal we were replacing, and were careful to save our faucet that we were reusing. They shimmed the whole thing so that the new granite counter top (coming in the next day) would give extra room allowing for the height of the new porcelain floor and let the dishwasher sit level and with room to be moved in and out easily. They did a great job shimming, and were able to match the new stain to the color of the 16 year-old cabinets pretty closely. He asked our approval of the stain before doing the work.
We are really thrilled with the new tile. They asked me what pattern I wanted the tile laid in, and were able to show me the choices in the loose tile so I could decide. I chose a brick pattern and it came out beautiful. The tile was well laid, and looks wonderful.
The workers were on time, worked constantly, and did a wonderful job. They cleaned everything up, and were easy to work with. They also let us know of some problems they found while moving the vanity and toilet, and we were able to get them to add those small fixes to the contract. The front of the house looks wonderful, and we're very pleased."
