We are a licensed Va Class A contractor with the highest certificate offered through the state board of regulations.
"My understanding is that Tri Arc is the only subcontractor that Home Depot uses for kitchen renovations in the Richmond area and I certainly hope that Home Depot changes that soon. Our experience was a disaster and I will never sign a contract that has Tri Arc performing the work again. All-in, our kitchen remodel to install new cabinets and countertops took about 6 months as compared to the 1-2 month estimate that was originally provided by Home Depot. Not having a fully functioning kitchen in our house for 6 months was a royal pain and I'm so glad to done with this. We did our kitchen demolition ourselves to save a couple thousand dollars to do a job that took my wife and I about 2 hours. Tri Arc started the cabinet installation in November 2017 and it was all downhill from there. It started with the installer cracking the top of every single upper cabinet because a pilot hole was not drilled before installing the trim. The installer tried to cover those flaws up without telling us by covering them with putty and touch-up paint - both for cracks and holes (where a new drill hole was required because the crack was so bad). We did not notice the flaws originally until the representative from the granite countertop provider pointed out all the issues when he measured for our countertops the next day (we're thankful for him). From there, things got disastrous. Home Depot ordered replacement cabinets, which were unfortunately the wrong size - so about a month of the delay was on Home Depot as we had to wait for a second complete re-order. During the time from the initial poor installation to the job conclusion, I think I lost count of the number of ridiculous excuses as to why Tri Arc didn't show up on the job when they said they would, either late or not coming at all without notice (my wife or I taking off of work to be there). It was so unbelievable that we had to show the Home Depot manager the stream of text message excuses to prove that we weren't exaggerating. In the end, the work got done and I couldn't be happier that they're gone. Our only saving grace is that Home Depot stepped in the middle to provide some relief here, so kudos to them for acknowledging the fault of their subcontractor and trying to make things right."

"Once the project was completed, there were some issues with the grout work in the shower. The grout was crumbling and had not been sealed properly. I tried to get Michael Wilkins to come look at it for months after the project was completed in May of 2016, as I was supposed to have a 1 year warranty on all the work his people did. He would not come by and would not return my calls. I received a text from him giving me the name and phone number of his Tile Subcontractor (Sandro) and I was told to call him myself. Sandro would not return any of my calls and after 6 months, I finally gave up as my husband became ill and was hospitalized . My husband was ill for the next 2 years and finally died. In February of 2020, I contacted Michael Wilkins, the company owner, again, to see if he would come and look at these problems. He continually gave me days when his people could come by and no one would show up or call. I texted Michael weekly for about 3 months and he kept putting me off. Once again, I finally gave up. I finally contacted a company called Grout Geeks and scheduled an appointment for them to come by. I found out that the expansion joints in the shower were never caulked and consequently the grout was cracking and coming out in places. I also found out that the tile was never sealed. Now I am having to pay another $600.00 to have this shoddy work repaired. This shower job, just like the painting this company did was poor work that the owner did not choose to stand behind and correct. I would NEVER us this company again"

FAQs for deck and porch service projects in Aylett, VA
While the terms deck and porch are often used interchangeably, they are two distinct home features. Porches offer a roof that protects from the elements when coming and going from the house. Generally, porches are on the front of your home. On the other hand, decks are generally built in the backyard of a home and offer no roof or protection from the elements, like rain or snow. Porches typically require less maintenance and upkeep thanks to the roof, but both features require regular cleaning and repairs to maintain good condition.
The cost to build a deck is $8,025 on average. However, this cost can range anywhere from $1,500 to $22,000, depending on multiple factors, such as size, materials, and deck type. You can expect to pay $30 to $60 per square foot when building a new deck.
Cedar decks are often the most cost-effective option, ranging from $4 to $9 per square foot for materials. However, pressure-treated decking, which is resistant to rot, is more expensive, ranging from $15 to $25 per square foot for materials.
Yes, adding either a porch or deck (or both!) to your home can add value. Both of these features add character and curb appeal to your home, but even more importantly, they add an element of convenience. Plus, these home features create additional square footage of living space to your home. Adding a porch onto your home can give you a return on investment (ROI) of up to 84%, while adding a deck can provide an ROI of up to 80%.
Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:
Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.
Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.
Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.
Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.
As with patios, there are many types of deck choices to choose from to add personalization to your home. Some common deck options include:
Attached decks are anchored to the home and include simple ground-level options or multi-level structures with stairways and separate landings.
Detached island decks are not attached to the home; they’re a freestanding structure in the yard.
Wraparound decks connect the back of the house with at least one other side and often are built with railings for safety.
Multi-level decks connect your deck through varying levels of elevation, featuring landings that are attached to stairs.
