"Julio Escobar, President of ET General Contractor, responded with 24 hours to my initial query and arranged to visit my house within another day to discuss my plans. He listened carefully, and made excellent suggestions, including frank opinions of what was and was not possible and at what cost. He then gave me an estimate within a few days with pictures of the kind of stone retaining wall that he recommended. Once work started, it was completed within four days completely to my satisfaction. Julio himself was in regular contact with me and visited the site where his team was working at least twice each day, supervising all aspects of my work while at the same time attending to projects elsewhere. Changes and challenges that came up in the course of the project were incorporated easily. The final wall - a structure in two parts across the entire front of the house, and made of sculptured stone blocks embedded in a firm foundation - was very professionally done and looks beautiful. The three vegetable patches - enclosed by 4x4 wood beams and filled with topsoil (as was the area behind the retaining wall) - are also solidly and professionally built. I'm entirely satisfied and will definitely work with Julio again in future."

"LUX came out, gave us a proposal and fixed price and carefully spec'd out the work. They had a large hickory tree to work around and not damage; their workers were polite, hardworking, competent, and cleaned up daily. The project was finished within the time frames planned and within the affordable budget we'd set out. It was a difficult project due to the hillside they were working on, and the large old patio stones that had to be taken up carefully and then reset at the end of the project. We were VERY please with the planner, the foreman, the workers and the quality of the work overall. We would hire them again for foundation and stone work."

"They initially thought we needed the foundations and poles replaced on one or more support poles for our main border beam. This was based on measurements before the carpet was taken out. We scheduled the work, and had the carpet removed. Once removed, it was apparent to the crew that showed up that the work didn’t need to be done. They quickly reassessed and were honest with me about the reassessment. Their crew was already on site and they could have easily just done the work and billed us. They had a structural engineer contact us to follow up and do a formal reassessment of what work needs to be done. Their crew chief attended the engineer’s assessment to make sure they understood. Their estimators and crew were friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. I paid their crew (already on site) to tear apart some wall to make sure we completed the inspection, but no additional work needed to be done. Their work ethic and commitment to getting this right has them on the top of my list for any future work I need done in their area of expertise."

He transplanted the young trees that I wanted to keep and helped me pick out plants for the rest of the project. I had not imagined including lighting, but Elijah suggested it, and the lighting is beautiful. I also had a walkway installed that matches the paver patio style. "We hired JES to stabilize the footers, slab floors, and a very large stone fireplace in the center of our home.  This was a major project due to the age and structure of our home and it involved a considerable amount of work inside and outside of the home.  Our salesman, Howard Glancy spent a considerable amount of time with us going over every detail and carefully explaining what needed to be done in order to achieve the results we desired.  Our project manager, Moises Paz did an outstanding job informing us about what we should expect during the project as well as answering questions along the way.    The foundation repair team (Jose Lopez (foreman), Victorino Joya, Daniel Yacila, Irvin Franco) that were responsible for installing the 13 push piers and 19 slab piers needed to stabilize the footers, slab floors, and a fireplace were always very professional and accommodating.  This hardworking team arrived each day as scheduled, they answered questions, kept us informed on each stage of the job, and always left the job site neat.  JES could not have assigned a better team to complete this portion of our project.  I can’t thank them enough for helping make the experience manageable for us.    The team responsible for injecting the poly filler under our home’s slab (Austin Hicks and Caleb Barron) were also very professional.  They too arrived as scheduled, explained the process and answered questions. They even went above and beyond  by injecting some poly filler under a small portion of my driveway that had sunk – free of charge!   If I could give JES more than the 5 stars allowed, I would.  We will definitely hire JES for any future projects should they arise."
