"Excellent work by Danny. He was punctual, personal, and meticulous, and ensured everything was cleaned up after the work. He also identify a bearing problem with the bathroom vent fan resulting in a less than efficient operation. He provided insight on having the manufacture replace the fan at no cost and the end result was a very quiet and efficient fan. Also the fan I purchased online was much larger than the one being replaced and Danny went the extra yard to reconstruct the opening for a proper fit."

"Walls Electric was punctual and professional during the installation. They were efficient and effective in the replacement of our bathroom fan.  They also had an available appointment right before we had to close, which was a plus for us.  During the walk-through - things seemed to be in order for the buyer without questions.  I would use them again for electrical service needs... thanks!

"I am extremely happy with the gutters and downspouts that Rife Remodeling and Flooring installed. They exceeded all my expectations regarding: 1. Cost 2. Time 3. Look/function 4. Honesty/integrity They completed the job same day, were professional, courteous, and trustworthy. The crew for Rife Remodeling and Flooring were left unattended with full access to the property and it's contents. When we got home that evening, the job was done, and they had completely cleaned up after themselves and left no debris in the yard or driveway. I will be a returning customer and would recommend them to anyone for any of your home repair needs."

"Kenny Ferguson is very responsive to customer requests. He communicates well to the customer and to his men. Fernado and Mike were very careful in their work and aimed to please the customer. The lights and painted ceiling looked great. They were very pleasant and yet professional in their attitude and work. They cleaned up everything when they were done. I have another job waiting for Kenny and his team to install an attic fan. I have confidence that they will do good work as they have done in the past.

"It went great! I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for a dryer vent cleaning. Two gentlemen showed up exactly at the scheduled time and got right to work cleaning the dryer vent. It took less than an hour and my dryer has been much more efficient ever since. They also recommended I change the external vent - the previous owner of my home installed a standard attic vent instead of a dryer exhaust vent.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

On average, a bathroom fan lasts between five and ten years. The fan's lifespan depends on its quality, installation, and frequency of use. You can extend its life with regular cleaning and by promptly addressing any issues. Common signs that you need a new fan include mold growth, a burning smell, unusually loud noises during operation, or lingering odors in the bathroom. If your fan is no longer working as well as it once did, consider replacing it. The cost to install a new bathroom fan is typically between $240 and $550.

Every municipality has its own codes. But generally speaking, all bathrooms must have some ventilation, whether it's a fan or a window. Check your local building codes before doing any bathroom fan installation to make sure you are meeting the code requirements. A reputable electrician or bathroom fan installer will be able to answer this question.

Solar attic fans work in winter, but they serve a different purpose than they do in summer. During the colder months of the year, these fans improve air circulation within your attic, which helps remove condensation and moisture to prevent mold growth and protect your insulation and the structure of your home.

Your bathroom exhaust fan shouldn't be loud. However, bath fans come in a wide variety of models, price points, and loudness characteristics, and yours may be louder or quieter than others you notice. Economy models tend to be the noisiest, with levels of 4.0 sones or more, which is about the sound of an electric shaver, while some high-end models can be barely audible.

If your ceiling fan is humming, that's usually a sign of an electrical issue. A low-pitched grinding sound could be caused by the motor or a lack of lubrication in the bearings, but a true humming sound will be caused by a failing capacitor or faulty wiring. Unless you have experience with electrical issues, you should call a pro for any ceiling humming noises.
