"We actually had our air vents and ducts cleaned. They were amazing and quick. They educated us about the ducts and the cleaning. Ben was nice, professional, and friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure that all our questions were answered. I am very happy with the service. He is going to help us get someone out to fix a few things with the HVAC system. I am beyond satisfied."

"Absolute Air (AA) is the second company I've had at the house and will be the first one I'll call the next time I need HVAC service. I've dealt with a zone damper problem for over two years that is finally fixed. However, I called (AA), because my AC stopped cooling correctly. They discussed my problem over the phone and gave me some troubleshooting ideas, after which I was able to fix the cooling problem immediately without cost or without having to endure a hot house in the middle of summer. They fixed my damper problem a couple of days later after getting the part. Caleb and Tom were great. It was obvious that they both cared about providing the best service possible."

"They showed up before I arrived and had the old swamp cooler almost dismantled! Fearless on my steep roof! The replacement was done before 11 AM!! They cleaned up everything and left the place looking better than they found it! Very impressed with the whole company, Chris made the bid and told me all the ins and outs of the process. "I finally have found an honest HVAC Company!! I had several other companies come to help me evaluate whether my AC could be fixed or get bids if I needed to get a new one. One said it couldn't be fixed so I needed a new AC; another said I needed a new AC AND a furnace; another said I need a new AC AND a water heater. Then my maintenance company technician showed up for the yearly check-up with a salesperson who wanted to sell me a unit because he said my unit was getting oldâ but neither the technician nor he had even checked it yet this year. Discouraged and not knowing which way to turn, I inquired of a trusted contractor if he knew of an honest HVAC company and was referred to Wright's Air Systems, a family owned and run business in Provo. He felt that Kelly Wright, the father, and his two sons were all honest businessmen. Jason Wright, a son, arrived the next day after my request for an appointment. After examining the system, he checked the AC levels and said he thought he could fix it for under $200. He acknowledged that it was getting older but that the whole system still appeared to be in good working condition, so with this bit of a fix, he felt it would be running at full capacity again. I had him fix it and it was like I had a new AC unit! He took time to answer all my questions and taught me what to look for to determine when to call for help. He was knowledgeable, patient and personable. I felt that he was fair with the pricing and that he was honest. In fact, he more than lived up to the referral I was given. Cheers to Wrightâ s Air Systems and Jacobâ ¦."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

There are two main reasons your furnace and AC are turning on at the same time. The first could be that you’re confusing the furnace with the blower. The blower is located in the furnace and will turn on to distribute cool air from the air conditioner through the ductwork in the home. This is normal. If the actual furnace is turning on at the same time as the AC and hot and cool air are coming into the home, it could be a result of incorrect writing to a new thermostat or new systems.

If your drain line is clogged, your AC might stop cooling, shut down, or refuse to turn on at all. Otherwise, you might see your AC leaking water, find standing water or water damage near the unit, or notice a musty smell coming out of your air conditioner or vents.

A 3-ton AC unit is probably too big for a home that’s 1,200 square feet. If you have a 1,200-square-foot home, you likely need a unit that’s somewhere around 1.9 and 2 tons. An AC unit that’s too large will be really inefficient and cost you a lot of extra money on your bills.

Keeping your air filter clean is crucial for your heat pump's efficiency. As a general rule, you should check your air filter every 1 to 3 months. However, the actual frequency might vary depending on factors like the type of filter, indoor air quality, and the amount of dust and debris in your area. If you notice the filter is visibly dirty or clogged, it's a clear sign it needs attention sooner. Regular filter maintenance ensures proper airflow and helps your heat pump perform optimally, keeping your indoor air fresh and comfortable.

Yes, adding central air can increase your home value by as much as 10%. Generally speaking, prospective buyers prefer a central AC system over a ductless system or room-by-room AC units. That’s because central air conditioning blends into the home easier than individual room air conditioners and typically has less equipment to maintain.
