"Ricky, Ryan, Trapper, and Brandon did a great job installing our new shower. We live in an old home and the shower had previously been re-done, but the tiling job wasn't good quality, so we had problems with water leaking through to the walls and floor. 5-star did a great job replacing all the parts that had damage, and they did a superb job installing the shower and making sure that it was completely sealed. We're confident that this time our shower will last forever. They did all of this in just one day. Thanks guys!"

Glass has one of the longest lifespans of any fencing materials, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years on average. Just how long your glass fence lasts depends on several factors, including how well you maintain your fence, the climate, and the type of glass you use. 

If you live somewhere with severe weather like hail, tornadoes, or hurricanes, expect your glass to have a shorter lifespan. Pool glass is one of the thickest tempered glass materials and may last longer than other options—especially compared to laminated glass.

There is no blanket number when it comes to glass thickness for soundproofing. Thicker glass does help reduce noise, but it’s only part of the solution. Most single-pane windows use glass that’s ⅛” to ¼” thick. While increasing the thickness can cut down on sound, the real noise-blocking power comes from stacking layers. Double—and triple-pane windows are far more effective for soundproofing. The combination of mass and separation breaks up sound waves better than thick glass could on its own.

Once you’ve gotten any scuff marks, grime, and burn marks off your glass stovetop you can use vinegar to finalize the clean without leaving streaks. Just put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the stovetop before wiping it in a consistent direction with a microfiber cloth.

While wavy glass is sometimes called antique glass or restoration glass due to the fact that it's found exclusively in older homes, the proper names for wavy glass are actually crown glass and cylinder glass. Most commonly used for circular or portal windows, crown glass was created by manufacturers using a process of blowing and spinning. Meanwhile, cylinder glass was used more commonly because it created large square sheets that could be shaped to fit windows of all shapes and sizes.  

The best (and safest) glass for glass walls is tempered and laminated glass. These types of glasses work well for walls because they are durable against impact and heat.
