"I am extremely pleased with the energy saving work done on my house by Greenify. I worked with Aaron, who is very approachable and explained the different options and process in detail and answered all my questions so that I understood completely. My house is old and the insulation was poor, so with Greenify I was able to get a package deal for attic and wall insulation, new windows, air sealing, a new roof and solar that I found affordable with financing. After all these improvements my home is very comfortable without having to use the AC all the time. Before it would get very hot so that I couldn’t spend time upstairs in the summer. Blake, who oversaw the insulation work, even fixed my broken steps in back as an extra. Everything was done in a timely manner. Mark (insulation), Gustavo (solar) and Jason (windows) were great to work with. I strongly recommend this company for any energy improvement work that you need."

"Both Hunter and Carter were very professional, courteous and above all friendly. They arrived on time and began to evaluate the situation of lifting the badly sunken areas of our back patio which in certain areas was at 6? to 7? along the foundation. Hunter then proceeded to explain the whole operation involving the drilling, application of the polyurethane foam and sealing process. He did address a few areas of concern which involved the cracks where half of the concrete panel had lifted 3? to 4? higher than it?s original surface, and that it may not drop back down. After observing the beginning of the operation for a short time it was clearly evident that Hunter and Carter were true professionals and were intent on performing great quality and workmanship, which in the end will always provide and produce a great product. What they were able to do and accomplish of lifting our back patio was truly remarkable, and I cannot commend them enough for their hard work and due diligence."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Bathroom mirrors weigh between 6 and 13 pounds, depending on the size. A 16x20-inch mirror weighs 6 pounds, while a 24x36-inch bathroom mirror weighs 12.5 pounds. Large mirrors, such as a 30x40-inch mirror, weigh 46 pounds. When installing or hanging a bathroom mirror, have a neighbor or partner assist you in lifting and holding the mirror in place. A second set of eyes can also help ensure the mirror is centered and level.

When glass shatters, larger shards quickly drop to the ground, but smaller particles can go on an airborne journey up to 15 feet from the point of impact. So check under furniture, along the edges of rugs, and in dark corners for glass fragments. When in doubt, vacuum the entire room a few times after thoroughly cleaning.

Yes, it is possible to replace only the glass pane in a window without replacing the entire frame. However, this is a complex task that is best handled by a window repair professional. A technician can safely cut the seal, remove the old glass, install the new pane, and ensure it is properly sealed. For double-pane windows, this process involves creating a vacuum between the panes and filling it with insulative gas to restore the window's energy efficiency. Hiring a professional also ensures you select the right type of glass for your needs. This repair is almost always more affordable than replacing the entire window and frame.

Start by attaching the mirror to a wall stud if possible. Next, use appropriate hardware for the mirror's size and the wall material. That could look like drywall anchors, toggle bolts, or self-drilling anchors to ensure a strong hold. Additionally, D-rings or hanging brackets are more secure than a nail. You can also use mirror adhesive to secure small or larger mirrors with a vanity as a base.

The best tool for DIYers to use to cut glass is a glass cutter, which can either use a straight blade or a sharp cutting wheel to score glass. Once you score the lines you want to cut, elevate the scored line over a pivot point and apply light, even pressure to both sides. Make sure you wear protective gloves and glasses to stay safe during the process.
