"WE HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH GUARDIAN! Our situation was somewhat unique in that we purchased an older home with extra awful water! We called Guardian; Jeff and Ryan came out, tested our water and helped us get the absolute best customized water softener system. And truly, we now have the best water! Not only am I beyond pleased with the quality of water we now have but with their customer service and care is AMAZING!! A couple months after our system was installed we had a few questions and they have been so good to answer all our questions and make sure we are taken care of. In all honesty, if I ever moved and had to purchase a water softener again I would 100% use Guardian again!"

"It was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Thought I needed something more and Jerik walked me through the ins and outs of water softeners and helped educate me! Very kind and professional! He told me the pros and cons of the water heaters and helped me make a decision based on my living situation! Will definitely be calling them for future plumbing!"

"This was a super smooth and seamless process. My husband called and requested an appointment under my name and phone number. I was received prompt email and text message reminders, and the service tech was actually able to meet earlier than the original time (with advance discussion by phone). Once the service tech was on his way, I received a text from the office with a photo of who to expect. After reviewing the basement and kitchen, Poncho was able to provide a quote and asked if I was free for him to go out and purchase supplies and install the gas line that day. He was professional, kind, and efficient. I couldn't be more pleased with how convenient and easy this was and I'm looking forward to working with this business again."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Deteriorated seals, O-rings, or gaskets are common culprits behind a leaky sink after you’ve turned off the water—especially if your sink is older than 15 years. Inspect each of these mechanisms in your sink for signs of corrosion or looseness, then replace the worn-out part to fix it. Older sinks may be worth replacing if several of the parts are worn-out.

Touchless faucets are reliable. However, proper maintenance is necessary to keep them running flawlessly. Keep the nozzle area and sensor clean to promote the best functionality. Additionally, consider where the touchless faucet you choose gets its power. Battery-operated models will need regular battery replacements to ensure reliability, and the touchless function won't work in a hardwired version during a power outage.

No, you don’t need to use plumber’s putty to install a sink drain. Other options are available, such as silicone putty or silicone caulk. Plumber’s putty is the traditional method and it’s easier to work with and easier to remove. It doesn’t need to dry before using. Silicone putty should dry before you use the drain.

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.

DIY is not recommended for commercial settings due to safety and code compliance. Hire licensed professionals.
