"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. We are a locally owned and operated plumbing company located in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake City, Utah. This location makes it easy for us to provide services for many cities in the Greater Salt Lake Area. Our general area of service covers any area between Tooele and Park City; from Bountiful to Draper. We operate with the highest standards of integrity. We are licensed, bonded, and insured. Our plumbers are qualified and experienced. Plumbing Plus also has great reviews on Angie's List, an online listing service where member consumers can rate and reviews contractors and other service companies.

"Full renovation. Want to upsize water/gas & replace my failed stop-and-waste. Called PP and asked to schedule an estimate. Lady asked about project. Explained the gist and she said she couldn't provide an estimate for that over the phone, but told me their hourly rate is $165 and that is per worker so double that if two were on job, etc. Pricey, but not unexpected for skilled labor. Scheduled a time and I met Rodney. He was knowledgeable & friendly. Explained in detail what I wanted, asked if it was feasible, etc. He said they could do the water part, but since the gas line is owned by Dominion Energy up to and including the meter, I'd have to talk to them about if the gas line and/or meter needed replacing. Called DE and got on the waiting list for a "pre-eval", and as Rodney recommended I sent an email to PP with all the details of the project and a sketch for clarity. While waiting for DE to get back to me I got an invoice for $165 in the mail from PP. I called PP and asked why"

Master Plumber License #157091-5518, Contractor License #5578580-5501. Honest service with over 70% of our business being referrals. Customers include Bryan Kohler, Tom McPhee Construction, Red Pine Const, M&V Enterprises, Tafoya Construction and many, many more. Services done by experienced and licensed professionals that have worked on all types of plumbing, you wont get someone who has installed pex for 6 years and call themselves a journeyman, our guys work on homes in the avenues that have old cast iron, polypropeline lines (cancer causing that's been outlawed) and do the job right. We guarantee and warranty our work. We do not have ridiculous charges (no trip charge, dispatch charge, fuel charge, etc.) We offer senior and military discounts. We DO NOT have high advertising budgets, those full page ads cos $10,000 a month in the phone book, we don't feel its fair to charge a customer for that so our prices are quite a bit less! All employees carry their professional licenses, if you ever hire anyone, make sure they have that, if you hire a plumber make sure you get one.

Family owned company with 20+ employees established in 1985. Cost is quoted upfront after $70 trip and diagnostic fee (1/9/19). We provide quality appliance, heating, and air conditioning repair on all major brands. We service the Salt Lake Valley and Utah County (Lehi to Provo). We strive to provide timely, honest service to our customers in a way that will alleviate stress, improve comfort, and build trust. Have an emergency? Need to repair a broken appliance? Give us a call! We’d love to help!

"Took forever for the part to come in, though that may not be their fault, the tech said he'd call and didn't. And when I called he was not showing any concern or care for the fact our refrigerator wasn't working for approx 4-6 weeks. He added additional insulation and it was back to working but it's been 2 months and now it's not keeping the temp again. Of course there is a 30 day labor warranty and he's given notice and they have no one else to do appliance repair. So I would not recommend choosing."

**$500 off NEW AIR CONDITIONERS**Why pay double with the big companies? With a free estimate and straightforward pricing, you'll never be hit with unexpected costs at the end of a job. We've been in business since 2011. Our technicians are clean-cut and licensed. We take great pride in our exceptional service. Call anytime day or night! 24/7

"Our specific Plumber was Brent Young and hands down he is the best Plumber we have ever had. And after 30 years of home ownership we have had to use a lot. From the beginning there was no high pressure sales. He presented the facts so I could make a smart decision and the pricing was very fair (I shopped around a lot beforehand). When Brent came to install he was super professional and took great care to make sure the service was done right and that we were comfortable with it. He even did a couple of extra small things. Seriously, this was the best plumbing service we have ever had. I highly recommend Brent and would absolutely use him again in the future."

Gunthers Comfort Air is a heating and air conditioning contractor located in American Fork, Utah. We provide furnace and air conditioning installations, repair and service to Utah County and Salt Lake County homes and businesses. Please give us a call. We would love the opportunity to earn your business! Additional phone number: 801-769-3557

"I called Gunthers because they are one of the few HVAC companies that are approved to work on the proprietary equipment made by Carrier, plus the house is in American Fork, same town where Gunther's is based. They sent a tech out who in just 25 minutes analyzed my "no heat" problem and the necessary fix, good so far. He left to go pick up a part, the Gas Valve. He returned in just under 2 1/2 hours, as he had to drive to SLC for the valve. He went right to work and installed the gas valve in about 35 minutes . Great the furnace is now working. However, when I received the bill I was shocked! $985.96!! I have been a general contractor since 1973 and a property manager since 1985. I have had thousands of new HVAC systems installed, I have had repair work done on hundreds of furnaces over the past 36 years. I know alittle about this type of equipment and this type of work. I was absolutely stunned by Gunther's bill. I figured 3 1/2 hours of labor and a gas valve might run $550 to $600, but $1,000, no way!! When I called and talked to the service manager, Nathan Silvey, he said there was nothing he could do, no adjustment. So Beware, Silvey said they don't do service work by the hour, rather, they look in a book and charge a flat rate for certain types of work based on the book rate. They charged $43.75 to clean the flame sensor, no parts involved, just 15 to 20 minutes of labor. They charged $99 to just show up on site, no credit given toward the service work, then $843.21, the " book rate", to replace the gas valve. Actual time on site for their tech was exactly one hour. Travel to and from Salt Lake to pick up the part was about 2 hours and 25 minutes. I would have driven and picked up the part if they gave me that option. I was told the billing rate for their tech is $125 per hour. Wow, that is an expensive pick up and delivery service. Beware folks, ask a lot of questions before you have these folks come out and work on your equipment. I only called them because my regular HVAC repair guy couldn't get to me for several days and he said Gunthers was the only other local company he knew of that could get parts for Carrier equipment. Believe me, I will be more careful in the future... and no more Carrier equipment will go into any of my rentals. Their proprietary parts give little competition, as only Carrier approved companies can get their parts, so they can just charge whatever they want! Competition keeps the prices reasonable. Don't use Carrier equipment! Let me reiterate, workmanship was fine, the tech, Sergii, was a nice guy and went right to work, no beating around the bush with him. However, the price for what was done was way out of line. In addition, the failure of the service manager to attempt any reconciliation, cost reduction, or to compromise with me in any way, well, thus the low rating. Good luck folks! Know what you are getting into if you intend to have Gunther's work on your equipment."

"We had used Barlow Service Experts for some time and had generally good experiences, but our recent water heater replacement was very disappointing. When our old unit flooded the basement, the sales rep, Nicholas Allphin, assured us we could do a payment plan for a new tankless heater. He was polite and professional, but would swipe past all of the verbiage on his tablet straight to the signature block, repeatedly reassuring us of what it said and that it was a payment plan. Months later, after repeatedly asking for payoff information, we learned it was actually a lease that would cost nearly double what we were quoted. We felt completely misled and taken advantage of, and it was incredibly frustrating to realize the truth only after months of trying to get answers. This felt dishonest and manipulative. If you still choose to use them, be very cautious and double-check everything they do and say, because there?s a good chance they could be doing the same thing to you."

Heating Oil questions, answered by experts

Yes, including optimizing settings and suggesting upgrades if needed.

For most systems, an annual HVAC system service is more than enough. Some homeowners prefer a twice-a-year visit to ensure the system is ready for the upcoming summer and winter seasons. If you need to call an HVAC pro more often than this, it may be time to check if your system is getting old enough for a replacement.

Most HVAC companies charge a flat service call fee of between $75 and $150, which includes traveling to your home and inspecting your system to find the underlying problem. Keep in mind that these prices only include diagnostics and the actual repairs will usually be billed separately. If you’re calling for routine service, the service call will be included in your inspection and tune-up, with the total sitting around $150. Your prices could be a little higher if you have a very large home with multiple condensers and air handlers, as inspections and servicing take longer.

Your HVAC manufacturer will give you instructions on how often you should service your system. Have your unit professionally serviced at least once a year when in doubt.

Heat pump systems are different because they provide heating and cooling solutions for your home. In this case, you should have it serviced at least twice a year.

Yes, technicians check refrigerant levels, loop performance, and system calibration for peak efficiency.
