"I had two drip line valves replaced, relatively easy jobs for those who know how to do it. They understood the problem and were very efficient in making the repairs. Communication would have been a lot easier if at least one of them spoke English"

"Service call only with some sprinkler head adjustments -professional observations stated no leak.. very satisfied with service call and professional expertise stated by David . Water fills and remains in hole. I think i remember this is because of slope and end sprinkler head unit in my yard. water was drained the upon arrival and then drain again upon departure. can the reason for this again be stated as to why and the reason for no sprinkler line repair is needed thank you Paul"

"Service proposal was fine, but their pricing was too complicated for what I wanted. The pick-and-choose pricing did offer the ability to customize and only get and pay for what you wanted and needed on a per-visit basis. However, I really just wanted a comprehensive monthly fee that didn't require and periodic adjustment."

Plant Watering FAQs, answered by experts

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.

It’s not a good idea to plaster over broken plaster (unless by broken you’re referring to cracked, in which case that’s perfectly fine). However, broken plaster can be a sign of a larger underlying issue like foundation damage or severe damage to the lath holding up the plaster, so it’s worth investigating before you simply plaster on top of the damage.

The best way to make long, straight cuts is to use a utility knife and a T-square to score the sheet, snap along the score, and then finish the cut by cutting through the paper on the opposite side with the utility knife. If you’re making small cuts, curved cuts, or cutouts for electrical boxes or light fixtures, you can use a manual jab saw to keep costs down, but an electric spiral saw or oscillating multi-tool will get the cleanest, fastest cuts possible.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in.

Yes, drywall nail pops are a common occurrence in homes, both new and old, resulting from the settling and shifting of the structure over time. Though not present in every room or on every wall, encountering nail pops in different sections of a home is not unusual, particularly if the temperature, humidity, or foundation has experienced changes.
