"Always came as promised weather permitting. Worked hard and performed work efficiently and carefully and did beautiful work. They removed grass and re-graded a negative slope into a positive slope, installed brick patio, rerouted sprinkler lines and extended rain gutter drain pipes away from the house."

"Quick response to our initial contact. They were onsite the day we called and started work the next day. The work was professionally done with the highest attention to detail and customer concerns or questions. The crew went out of their way to accomplish tasks that were not required by the project. I would recommend highly to anyone."

"Dalton has been doing our yard maintenance for nearly two years now. He is through and we love the work they do. Yard looks amazing! We’ve had them fix sprinkler lines, plant trees, and they have redone work in a large water feature/stream in our yard. We would recommend their services to anyone."

"Spencer was a pleasure to work with. Activated the sprinklers and recommended a watering plan to get the lawn looking great (his recommendations, btw were perfect and the grass is much greener a week later!). He also had some great recommendations for additional work I was looking to have done (and expanded flower bed) and I'll be hiring him again very soon! Thanks, Spencer's Lawn Service!"

"The communication between Ben (owner of Eagle View Landscaping) and myself was excellent. Ben listened to my concerns and ideas, delivered an excellent product and was on the worksite everyday checking on progress. His ideas for the retaining wall and French drain were spot on. Excellent company to work with and great crews, very professional."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

In general, expect to mulch your leaves about once or twice every fall. You want there to be a decent amount of leaves on the ground, but not too much where it’s difficult for the mower to cut through.

We always recommend wearing a protective mask when blowing leaves (as well as goggles if possible). Blowing leaves creates a lot of dust, and in many cases that dust contains a bunch of allergens that can make those sensitive very miserable. Even worse, moldy leaves can contain fungi and bacteria that could make humans as animals very sick. Mask up before starting your leaf project, and if anyone is helping you collect the leaves it’s a good idea if they wear a mask, too.

This depends on how many leaves there are. Mowing over dry and crisp leaves with a bagging attachment saves most homeowners a lot of time. If you have a smaller lawn and few leaves to mulch, you can put the leaves into a stand-alone mulcher resembling a wood chipper and collect the mulch from a hopper. This prevents having to do multiple passes with a mower.

To prepare your yard for river rocks, smaller rocks may require laying landscape fabric to keep the stones from sinking into the ground while encouraging proper water drainage. You should also clear the land of weeds and larger boulders and, in some cases, test the density of the soil to ensure it can handle the weight.

Depending on the method you choose to remove grass, it may or may not matter whether the grass is wet or dry when you perform the task. A dryer lawn will be easier to negotiate with a sod cutter, especially if you're not planning to reuse the turf. However, using a shovel by hand might be a little easier if the ground is slightly damp but not so much that it sticks to the tool.
