"Milo not only did a Shower Install, but remodeled the entire bathroom for us. He removed and demolished the bathtub and enclosure, removed the existing toilet, removed the medicine cabinet and removed some tile that needed to be replaced. He installed a full size to the ceiling shower with fixtures, installed a new vanity, sink and fixtures, adjusted existing plumbing, installed tile to match existing tile that we had, installed a new toilet, installed, taped and floated new sheet rock where needed. He also was very reasonably priced. He also did a few extra items we requested at a very reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend him for any remodel project. We will definitely hire him for our next project. They were always on time and work hard the entire day. He was easy to talk to and answered every question we asked. They did an outstanding job. We are both very pleased."

"If you expect perfection, Home Masters is the company to call. Aaron and Ricardo did an outstanding job on my tiling project—every detail was executed with precision and care. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and clearly committed to delivering top-tier craftsmanship. The tile work is flawless: clean lines, perfect spacing, and a finish that completely transformed the space. They respected my home, kept the work area tidy, and communicated clearly throughout the process. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend Home Masters if you want the job done right the first time. These guys are the real deal."

"I recently completed a six-month project with NRG Remodeling, and I couldn't be more impressed! The renovation of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, and kitchen went smoothly from start to finish. The communication was top-notch, and the team worked quickly and efficiently, all while maintaining very fair pricing. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the entire experience was stress-free—much smoother than I anticipated. It's rare to find such a professional and personable team, and I’m already planning my next project with them. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovation and will definitely turn to them for future work!"

"Thomas and his team from Flores & Sons were very professional. They did excellent work and their pricing was very reasonable. By using them, my husband I saved around 8k. I can't wait to show my family and friends my new kitchen and bathroom but most importantly my dream closet! My husband is so happy with the work, he is going to have them return to remodel two other bathrooms."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Professional installation ensures a uniform, durable surface, and proper sealing, and guarantees workmanship quality, preventing future issues linked to water damage or instability.

Regardless of the material, basic square tiles will never go out of style. Neutral colors like white, grey, beige, and black will always be in demand in residential and commercial settings. Certain designs, like herringbone and hexagonal patterns, are considered timeless. Porcelain and porcelain-like tiles will also never go out of style.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.

You can technically install tile over tile, but we don’t suggest it. Installing tile over any surface that isn’t a completely flat and prepared subfloor will result in a shoddy overall job, uneven flooring, tiles that don’t adhere, extra weight, gaps, cracks, and room for moisture and dirt to enter. For the best results, only install new tile on a flat, sanded surface like subflooring or concrete that is prepared for tile.

If you have asbestos tile and would rather tile over it than remove it, or if your existing tile is completely flat and bonded tightly to the floor, you may be able to tile over existing tile. But experts recommend thinking twice before you do.
