"Melvin is in very way a gentleman along with his 2 assistants...courteous...punctual...professional...meticulous.They came in at 8:00 and worked til 6:00...laid out all the structure for the fence...the next morning...were back at 8:00 and hit it hard again finishing my entire fence line at 2:00 P.M. I'm hiring them again for my deck restoration. (HIGHLY) recommend Melvin Barnet and his fencing company for your next project as well as every future project. There's a reason why this gentleman has a 5 star rating. He EARNS it on every project. Did I Mention that when they left...they left EVERYTHING cleaner than they found it?"

"Sales person Ben M. was prompt for his appointment and quick with getting an estimate, since he retained the dimensions from 2 years ago. The job was scheduled then moved up to better accommodate our work schedule. Josh handled the pre-treatment on Saturday and was very efficient. Josh W. and Jordan W. handled the sanding and staining, and were very thorough and detail-oriented. They even had some suggestions on how to keep the deck in tip-top shape! I will again look to the Dexperts and certainly will recommend to anyone looking for deck-staining service!"

"Excellent customer service since day 1! Both Enrique and Enrique JR. were very knowledgeable and skilled. We hired them to build a deck with pergola at our home. We showed them examples of what we were looking for and they exceeded our expectations. I would 100% recommend!"

"After examination it was determined it could not be fixed and it was recommended it be replaced. Arrangements were made and a metal ladder (wooden no longer available) was installed. It was framed and painted. The door was also painted. The installer also installed some molding around the opening to keep out cold air.*****"

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Balcony construction or replacement typically requires a building permit from your local permitting authority. Safety and building integrity are the main reasons for the need to obtain a permit and the subsequent inspections. In some cases, especially cantilevered balconies, your municipality may also require the oversight and signature of a structural engineer.

Building a barndominium means converting a barn into a house. Barndominiums are becoming popular as spacious and stylish alternatives to typical housing structures. Old barns that become houses traditionally consist of wooden construction. However, newer structures, such as pole barns, often contain metal exteriors and roofs. Converting a metal outbuilding into a house presents an excellent opportunity to create a barndominium from metal.

While some highly experienced homeowners can frame a house independently, it is not advisable. You will need ample carpentry experience, a team of helpers, and professionals to sign off on your work to meet local building codes. For the safest outcome, we recommend buying or building a house with the guidance of professionals.

Homeowners can increase the usefulness of their garage space in other ways, and one option is to extend the length of the garage by making it deeper. The process is similar to traditional garage extensions, but the end product is a garage with a different layout rather than additional parking spaces.

Framing a basement takes three to five days, on average, when completed by a professional, though it may take longer for a larger space. Keep in mind this doesn’t include the time to complete the design, obtain permits, and install the drywall on the framing. On average, fully finishing a basement takes an average of 45 days.
